Vrabel had a press conference on this past Monday. He was asked if there was a Tackle worthy of the #4 pick. He avoided answering it directly and said that there are several 'starters' in this year's draft. Was that a way of saying "no"??

Now the media is arguing who they think is the best non-tackle pick at #4 because no one thinks that there is a possible trade. They all pretty much believe that Sanders' workouts have not been impressive enough to create a need for anyone to move up and that New Orleans will stay at #9 and get him.

Then it was learned that the Giants will have Milroe in on Saturday and Jaxson Dart in on Sunday. Pretty much confirms that they are taking either Hunter or Carter with #3.

We have 8 more days until the Draft and it's going to be a mudslinging week to see who can come up with the most tantalizing mock draft.

I'm not sure if the Saints go QB at 9 that the pick will be Sanders. There is talk that Sanders isn't QB2 on every board and that the Saints have done the most work on Dart and think he has the higher upside of the two.

I mentioned Dart about 8 weeks ago, I like that kid, a lot. And I think there is a lot of upside with him

He has the higher ceiling for sure between him and Sanders. His work on critical downs and under pressure really make him intriguing. I'm not sure which one I would pick if I were the Saints and both are on the board though. Sanders you get the higher floor and have a pretty good idea what you are getting.

A lot of analysts are now thinking Sanders will slip down in the draft and that Dart may be moving ahead of him. Team looking for a QB in the top 10 know they can probably get Dart or Sanders without moving up ten or before. Does this limit the Pats trade down opportunities

Adding Jeanty to Drake Maye is the stuff of nightmares for opposing NFL defenses. He's a home run pick.

Hmm...
Well he may be the selection at 4 and then next best LT available. My gut feeling is once the first LT is selected there will be a round one run on the position leaving that Pats still in need of a LT

What if the Patriots don't think that there is a LT worth a first or second round pick? Maybe they see someone that they know will still be waiting in round 3 and no one has even mentioned his name. Just don't know what they know and one of the following just might be the GOAT.

Anthony Belton NC ST
Jalen Rivers MIA
Brandon Crenshaw Dickson FLA
Jalen Travis IOWA ST
John Williams CIN
Jack Nelson WIS

If the Pats don't think there is a LT worthy of a first round pick then they're idiots. And the list you provided leaves me wondering of any of them are any better than what is there now. It's pretty much widely agreed there are 3 or 4 LTs that are better than our current option if they take a RB at 4 to me that would be a mistake, and we will be left still needing a LT.

Unless they trade back up into the 1st.

Sort of what started this, if the Pats don't find a trade partner at 4. I agree and have said all along trading down not past 10 maybe 12 would be okay. The scenario I presented was not finding a trade they valued and had to select at 4.

Now it begins. Teams are saying that no one will be willing to trade up to #4 if Hunter or Carter are taken before the Patriots' pick. "Why trade up if all of the players are equal?" Here's one snippet:

When answering a fan's question, The Athletic's Chad Graff spoke with someone with a team picking outside of the top 10, and that individual voiced some doubt regarding the Patriots' chances of trading down.

“Slim. I talked to someone from a team who picks outside the top 10, and they said they’d be shocked if someone moved up for the fourth pick," Graff wrote. "Here’s the rationale: This draft class has two blue-chip prospects (Hunter and Carter). After that, the next tier has around a dozen prospects. So why move up to No. 4 when the player there is likely rated around the same as the No. 10 player?"

So why is someone from a team picking outside #10 even talking about it? If he's looking at shitbags after #10, then why isn't he in line trying to get one player that doesn't 'stink'??

Nothing like being obvious that the draft sucks and you don't have a clue about who to take. If Hunter or Carter do drop to #4, you just drove the price up from a first and second to first, second and a 2025 first.

4 More fricking days. I don't care if we trade down, trade up, don't trade at all, I just want the fricking draft to come so we can turn the page

Yep. It is what it is. We will be happy… disappointed…. shocked. Pretty much every emotion under the sun.

Get it done. And game plan for next season.

I think think it’s going to be a great draft
