I think the majority of us here would have liked to see him stay here. He's a tough run defender and hits hard. He was definitely an upgrade over Spillane.
I loved Spillane and he got a raise after playing well for us.

So, if he is an upgrade that makes me happy since I loved Spillane and what he brought but understood we kind of had bigger needs so he walked.

So Rodgers is most likely bad for the franchise. He's still a good quarterback but at his age we would be looking at the same ol same ol 9-10 wins and a quick playoff route. But is there upside in him pushing back against Tomlin and his idiocy? He does seem like a diva that isn't afraid to push back. If he ends up here that might be the upside. Won't counter another 9 win mediocre season but...

Also. Anyone else have an opinion on Tyler Shough? Seems like they plan on taking a QB this year the more and more I read. They would need to trade back into the second round or move out of the first and the cost of a DT1.

Shough has about the best deep ball I've ever seen.

Shough, Dart, Howard... All have a good deep ball. Wouldn't be mad about a day 2 QB. But like you said, might require trading up or out of the 1st. I hope they stay the course with keeping the picks they have. Take a DT in Rd1, then just wait to see what falls in Rd 3. There isn't much distinction between day 2 QBs to be honest, so why trade to grab one? I just don't see a strong enough pool of QBs to feel like any of them would be worth a move like that.

As far as I know they've only signed CBs... Slay & Echols

For some odd reason Over the cap is showing this guy signed with the Steelers?

He hasn’t played since 2021 so it is probably training camp filler or a mistake as I see zero transactions about it.

I really like Shough better than Dart or Howard but still don't like him enough to spend a first or second on him. Not for a sinking Tomlin boat. None of those guys are too good to be ruined by Tomlin. And that's what we would need.
