I kinda wish I would have watched some of ESPN's coverage tonight. It appears there was a lot of hand wringing over Sanders falling out of Round 1.

That's why I don't watch ESPN anymore. They fall in love with certain guys too much and then just talk about that 24/7 instead of focusing on the actual players being drafted, lol. I just stuck with NFL Network last night.

Sanders not being drafted in the 1st was not a surprise at all. None of the QBs should've been drafted in the 1st this year (and most people with a functioning brain have said that).

EAgles move up one pick with KC? weird.....
Yeah, it would take a really crazy offer for KC to just say “nah, I don’t want Josh Simmons” at that point. Howie had to agree all gentlemen-like he was going defense before that trade went through. Can’t blame him though given the talent the Eagles drafted. I would say both parties are happy with said trade. Eagles got security, Chiefs got a pick and stayed in the first round. Both got strong prospects. Happy campers all around.

the eagles seem to consciously target younger prospects huh.
Old prospects are suspects, and more likely to bust. Especially WR’s. Albeit with NIL some of these day 3 guys are probably better than years past with the extra year of experience.

If I had to guess, someone was going to leapfrog the Eagles for Campbell and they had to beat the offer.

I’m guessing it’s someone picking pretty early if that’s true. A 5th rounder is not at all commensurate for a 5th cost controlled year for an OT. At least to me. If that’s all the Eagles had to beat, their loss I guess.

I’m shocked that they turned the defense around so quickly when you see the ages of these guys. Not only is this a plus defense but the pieces are going to be around for a number of years.

It’s why I wasn’t seeing eye to eye with Cam Ward love. I think he’s just a guy

We'll have to see if Campbell can get healthy, but it was definitely a steal by the Eagles.

And frankly a perfect place for him. He just had shoulder surgery, he needs to get the other one done too... so he may end up limited this season, but that's fine. The Eagles don't NEED him right away.

The fact that jihaad campbell is a local kid from across the river in camden nj is also cool, he is an Eagles fan who gets to play for his home team and seemed genuinely jacked about that.

Surprised the Packers went with a receiver, they already have 4 pretty good young receivers in Doubs, Watson, Reed and Wicks. But I think Golden is a very good player.
I bet the Vikings go secondary here
I bet GB trades 1, maybe 2 now

I've read in more than one place that if the two "best" qb's in this year's draft were in last year's, they would have been no better than the 6th or 7th best qbs and wouldn't have sniffed the first round. Hard to disagree.

The Eagles love this metric. They highly value guys who score strongly for athleticism. This is true of numerous guys on their OL, Mitchell, Carter, DeJean, etc…

Not sure if the plan is to use him as an edge or off ball LB. I love that he’s a tackling machine. I personally would consider him first at ILB.

Yah it was annoying to see him go to the Eagles, but again it made sense. I don't think Campbell will be an IMMEDIATE starter (yah I get he's running on a treadmill as his family/friends showed, but you don't need your shoulders to run lol). Also Starks going to the Ravens *sigh*

I wouldn't be surprised at his young age if the Eagles just fix his other shoulder now and place him on IR/PUP for the year, and then unleash the beast he is in 2026 and everyone will be like, "Oh fuck, that's right... the Eagles have him too."
