did you really not know are in OKC where Durant wound up as clearly this is where NBA wanted him.Because the basketball market in Seattle was failing. How are the Supersonics doing these days anyway?

Don't recall the specific years but were many lotteries where we heard before them league will rig it for LA or NY.......but didn't.
just wow.Opportunity for growth. When you add 5 young fans, 3 stay for life in a winning market. Only 1 stays for life in a losing market.
I don't think the NBA needs or should make decisions on what irrational tinfoil hat wearers think........but can agree doing away with lottery not the worst idea.Ok.
That is fair.
I do think the combination of the fact that the lottery does not deter tanking along with the mistrust of even a fraction of the fans should be enough to get the league to move on from it.
he claimed the owners thanked Silver for rigging it. someone has to be in charge of it and of course be willing to be the fall guy when another gets mad over something petty and decides to spill the beans.,Prison time for what? If the whole league is in on it, is there really anything to be charged for? It's just more WWE than we would like.
I can even agree the one NY won not as farfecthed and easier to set up if they wanted......but not since they went to the current format or one before this one.Knicks did have one notorious one (Ewing) and the Lakers did get the #2 pick in 3 consecutive drafts in their rebuild.
Difficult to help LA too much, as they aren't typically in the lottery.

Of course. Every team is represented in the room AND reporters present....and they assume it's rigged.Well you haven't established that the NBA is crooked. So that's problem number 1.
The conspiracy curious people wouldn't care if the process was transparent. They would still assume it was rigged.
For everyone? No. And a reasonable person can understand why as not very compelling TV to start by announcing who the #1 pick is.Is it transparent or no?

When LA got the #2 pick weren't there years #1 thought to be far better and also wasn't LA pretty much in line to pick 2?
4, 2, and 4. However, how often does that get you a top 3 pick these days?
I’m not saying it happens, but make no mistake about it there are many things covered by an NDA in most businesses. If this stuff really happens, I would assume that owners are locked into a nondisclosure agreement from day 1.
Does it really happen? I don't really care, but they could settle it once and for all very easily.
Not sure how Very easily they could settle it with the weighted lottery. If this stuff really happens, I would assume that owners are locked into a nondisclosure agreement from day 1.

It's probably up there bu seriously doubt at the top.![]()
Of all of the stupid things you've said...this one is the stupidest.
Congrats.
Maybe that’s why you are the way you are. You should believe in facts and data and not people when it comes to proving the legitimacy of systems.Dwayne Wade is the only noncorrupted truth teller we can rely on
ya gotta love this forum and oh, the irony.Maybe that’s why you are the way you are. You should believe in facts and data and not people when it comes to proving the legitimacy of systems.
I have every bit as many facts and data as you have. One of us is choosing to buy into a ridiculous and illogical conspiracy theory and the other is aware of how stupid that theory is, considering how many people are observers of the process.Maybe that’s why you are the way you are. You should believe in facts and data and not people when it comes to proving the legitimacy of systems.
