I always figured Palmeiro would be a slam Dino because of the 3000+ hits and 500+HR, but I was a looking at his stats again and I was a little surprised. Only 1 top-5 MVP finish(5th) and only 3 top-10 finishes. He also only made the all-star team 4 times, which is surprising.

This thing that jumps out about him is that he walked more than he struck out over his entire career. Amazing for a guy that hit 569 HR’s. And his 132 OPS+ is damn good. He’s a lay-up without the PED stuff.

Yeah he's pure accumulator, never the best player in the league or even top 3. But he did accumulate a lot of numbers and 132 OPS+ is indeed Hall worthy
