Loveland is very much in play for us in RD 1, IMO

I would take Skateboo in Rd 4 but not Rd 3. He is a FB type in the NFL who can play TB in short yardage. Need a do it all RD in the top 3 rounds though.

Yeah, Skateboo isn't going to be as great in the NFL with his style according to some folks. They say his balance is amazing, but NFL guys tackle harder and better than most of the teams he saw against ASU. He also won't get fed the ball as much, so conditioning won't be a huge issue. That said, I think like DC he winds up a FB and there are only a few teams that might consider one.

If he was there in the 4th I'd take a flyer on him if we'd already addressed RB and TE. If we still needed a RB, I don't think I'd take him as my first one.

Skateboo is a luxury pick Broncos can't afford to make with all the other needs. He isn't the 1a running back they need so would have to be the 2nd RB picked and with needs at DT, ILB, S, CB and WR just to many other places value picks are needed on to make that kind of selection.

Agree but we won’t know what draft needs we have until after free agency.

They did do a really nice job of filling holes in FA last year allowing the ability to draft more value and BPA. Hope that trend continues.

Yes sir! We draft really well. Always a good feeling when you can focus on BPA over needs in a draft. The more needs we fill in FA the better for our draft flow.

Like any team we have needs but it is nice that every year under Paton and Payton we have less and less going into the draft.

We re-signed our biggest UFA's already.

i think impact DE or S would be a great pick.
I like the S from south carolina
He could be our Drewin James

I like S early.

Brandon Jones is really good and a had a great season. PJ Locke is ok. He can hold his own, in other words it isn't a DIRE NEED but it is a upgradable position especially since we don't have much depth there.

Some think we may go after another Dolphins FA in Jevon Holland but I really think we will look more at the draft for a S.. Grab one first 3 rounds, Locke is a FA after next year. He could still have a role here too as a 3rd S of our young S turns out after 1 year.

Emmanwori had an amazing year. Wasn't real high on him going into this year but left the season with a great impression on me. Starks is my personal fav DB in this years draft just a guy I have always been a huge fan of but Emmanwori really creeped up. A lot of fun.

Not gonna call him Derwin James like SI comped him too but I do like him a lot.

DJ is a former scout. he has the chops to make comparisons.

NFL.com had James 6.8 rating
Nick only 6.35 rating

yeah maybe not quite his level

He has physical attributes like him. Probably my biggest thing with James is I was high on him from Day 1 of first seeing him. He sorta had that Ed Reed/ Sean Taylor moment to me where I knew the minute I saw him he was going to be special. Nick didn't have that impression on me (doesn't mean he can't be) just not ready to compare that now... Derwin, Ed, Sean Taylor are another level to me because they had me at HELLO! :)

Emmanwori was excellent this year. Didn't have me at hello like a James did and that doesn't mean it isn't a good comp. It just isn't my comp.

I would be happy with him at 20 and he strikes me as a Payton type of S. I feel like Payton while not easy to predict who he will take in the draft it is fairly easy to know his style over the years. Maybe because we have such a big sample size. For instance Quinshon Judkins and Cam Skattebo have Payton written all over them to me. Doesn't mean we will take them but it wouldn't surprise me given what he likes in his past.

Had a friend send me the Daniel Jeremiah having him mocked to Denver yesterday incase anyone wants to refer to it.

Now that I look at various mock draft type websites, this could happen:

TE Colston Loveland
DL Alfred Collins
RB Quinshon Judkins

Not happening.

Well, I can still want it to happen!

I know he'll probably get taken earlier than that and if I were the Broncos, I would not give up draft capital to move up. Too many other positions of need and impact players available in the draft. I have seen some mocks where he falls to us at 20 but not many.

If he's not there, I see them taking a safety, running back or d-lineman. Of course, no one has a clue until we get through free agency. That will paint the draft picture in clearer focus.
