If you HAD to trade up to 13 what players would take at 13?

I haven’t looked at all the teams, but it would seem apparent that, since Colts have #14 and are tied to Tyler Warren, that he would be the target. It would probably cost our second and we would get their 4th or 5th in return. Is it worth that in this year’s strong class of TE’s? Maybe, if you project him to be a superstar.

Hope you are doing well, Paul! Nice to have a few days break from the cold!

If we do that, it means George P is in charge. If we move up for a target, that has Sean P written all over it.
Sean traded up for Zack Braun in the 3rd

Exactly what we have been talking about about.

ILB, S, TE, WR, RB

Need dogs we have the depth at WR and RB but we need our dog.

Not sure why people have been pleading for OL early ok in the draft this year. Wouldn’t make sense. Hopefully we can put to rest that type of talk and focus on what we really need. OL is locked up , played well and we have depth.

I’m not understanding a dislike of Loveland. 6’5”, 245, and expected to run about 4.7. At this point, he’s one of the players I’m most interested in at 20.

I’ve noticed many tight ends being drafted lately who have found success, such as LaPorta and McBride. Beyond Shockley and Bowers, the list of first-round tight ends with true “joker” potential is few and far between.. Kyle Pitts is hot and heavy trade rumors. Isn’t he like 6’5 250 runs a 4.5? Should the Paytons select Loveland with the 20th pick, I’ll be excited because I trust their judgment.

is Loveland an elite receiver? feels like the ultimate projection based on attributes vs college offense where his production was not elite.

Payton said the joker needs elite receiving skills.

you know as the mocks hit the interwebs vs the internal evaluations of the team im comfortable with the pick at #20 be it a joker or a S or ILBer

I’m not in love with Loveland at 20 (no pun intended) but I am ok with it. Agree with trusting judgement with the two guys running the show. Bottom line is we need a TE bad and the value is there and he is one of the best in this years class. Payton likes guys who can block . He won’t be into Harold Fanin.

I personally like Mason Taylor or Arroyo but I sorta feel when all is said and done they may fall in the middle of our first two picks.

I like Taylor better than Arroyo all around and would love to land him in the second. May have to trade up a bit though as if both Warren and Loveland are off the board in the 1st round teams may eye Taylor earlier. I honestly think Loveland is a little overrated.

Day 3 TE's and RB's would vastly upgrade BOTH rooms. I'm not a RB or TE guy at 20. IDL or trade back is my going into draft plan. ILB S in FA. I do want two RB's drafted in this draft please Sean.

So you're the opposite of CEH, whose heart doesn't appear to be in it?

We both agree that the Payton/Paton combo has earnedour trust in the draft room.

(Until they make a bad mistake!)
