Well I could damn sure work in some DEI “ didn’t earn it” commentary on the Cowboys coaching hires. certain Players time on the field and ownership but I will not.
And who would that be who did not earn being hired?? Jerry the GM with no prior experience and keeps doing a horrible job but keeps it??? Or Stephen who earned his by being the son of Jerry??

The latest ESPN mock draft I saw this morning at Dallas, taking some receiver. And passing on Jeanty. New England lucked out in that draft and got that massive DT from Michigan Graham.

That would be a major blunder. Jeanty makes the most sense.

Simmons also makes sense and then drafting the best RB available in round 2.

I am basing this off of them hiring coaches who prefer to run the ball.

Golden is not even rated as a first rounder. This guy not helping the running game.

I don’t get all excited about the draft because it never goes as I want it to anyway.

I was pretty gung ho in 1991? When they were having a look at potentially getting Raghib Ismail 1st overall.

I tuned in expecting to hear it and I started to hear CFL, Argonauts, etc.

Next thing I hear is Russell Maryland. Lunch bag letdown.,,,

I'm stating to read some on prospects. I think we must hit on two instant impacts with 12 & 44.
Reading the different mocks for 12 makes my head spin. The underwear olympics might help clear some things and holes filled by high end FA (NOT dallas) signings will help with a more clearer top 10 pick picture.

BUT

I keep seeing on a few mocks where the Grahm falls to the niners at 11 and we draft McMillan from Arizona. All 6 foot 5 classic stretch the field speed who positions his body very well in the RZ. Granted. Jeanty was gone.

I remain all over the lot.
Still not a TE guy but spinning anyways about pick 12.

signing Dowdle with a 3rd round bigger back sure sounds better and better to me.

if graham falls close enough for us to go up & get him.
We should do that!

i wouldn't throw a fit, but I'm already thinking Dallas takes 5th round comp picks and move up to get in the 4th round in April. Seems more logical to stay at 12...maybe even trading back 5 slots or so for an additional 3rd or dare I think 2nd.

thinking Will McClay and his scouts are our only shot this off season.

I would be shocked if Graham or McMillan made it out of the top 10, but I never thought CeeDee Lamb or Randy Moss would drop so what do I know. I really think the Cowboys had better forget about NEED and just take whoever they think is the best darn football player or they are going to get a bust they absolutely can't afford this year

Simmons is great, but that knee injury is a patella tendon. He probably won't be ready to start the season

The team has so many holes and needs. I just have no clue what they will do. BPA at a position of need? So many needs. It like they got holes at every position group on defense.

On offense WR,RB and OT are not good.

You got Jerry saying he shocked they were not in Superbowl. Crazy. You got Dak saying they are close to the Eagles which is a crock.

Defenders I really like are Green,Jalon Walker,Graham. I think all three going to be difference makers. They could trade down from 12 and get some extra picks. But if they do that they need to fleece the other team and not trade down very far.

Anybody have any thoughts on Jaydon Blue? I like him as a day three value pick. I could see him going earlier though. I just think he is a big play waiting to happen. Could he be given a role similar to Dee Bo? Blue looks dangerous as a receiver

That's exactly what we will do but I hate it. You bust a heck of a lot more when you try and cookie cut need. Just take the best player IMO. Literally, for this team, there is no position where we have a surplus and can't use an upgrade. None. Could we use a great QB prospect? Yep. RB? We need 2. WR? Need 2. TE? Heck yeah. OT? Yep? OG...yep. Everywhere. Let's say you're happy with Center and Travis Fredrick is sitting there. Take Fredrick and move Beebe to guard. We are better. Just take the studs

Gotta hit on 12 and 44.

BUT PICK 44
A darn good safety, CB, DT, LB, WR, RB and interior lineman wIll all be there. Trust Will.

got a guy for Arlington Cowboy at 44. which could be gone, but bio reads like your kinda guy.

Ohio State guard Donovan Jackson, 6'4 320.
Note: Nasty mauler, size and strength are made for the NFL run game.

Jackson is rising. I think he goes in round one now. Plays some tackle too but could be a great guard.
2nd round is a great spot for DT. It's a fairly deep spot at the top but there is going to be a major run on them. The big time guys will be gone by round 3 I think

so...draft for need at 44?

don't get me wrong, I sorta think need plays a role with many picks for all teams. We all see the QB when that need pick is made. I think draft rooms face need over best player discussions way more often in the first three rounds than fans know.

Meaning need trumps best player when the discussion is top 75 to 100 selections.

Two QB's in the first 10 picks seems safe to say so #12 is really top 10 player. There are options, great options at multiple positions at 12. Double that for great options at multiple positions at 44.

Two Impact Players that start cause their ability is superior to the most casual observer at those positions for this team is an absolute MUST get.

IMO..The position matters greatly for these two picks for this team. They gotta hit both out of the park. To me, RB or TE like Jeanty and Warren would be kind of a wasted opportunity for a position of greater need for a gamer towards their discussed schemes.
So many needs for young studs.

I would always fill holes and then go BPA. I'm just saying the two deepest positions in the top 44 are RB and DT so it's possible the best player may fit a need

i agree with RB and DT today.
Not as much with Osa and Rico back in fold....which I'm pulling for the most.

waiting on FA
