If we don't at least keep the must keeps you and @PDay8810 listed, I don't see any way this team takes a step forward next season
For normal teams I would disagree. For us I very very strongly agree. We could lose any or all of them without missing a beat IF we signed an outside free agent to replace them that is a talented player and not a vet minimum cheap deal. But, we all know that doesn't happen in Dallas so we need to keep who we can or we just get worse. The guys going out the door have been worse than the guys coming through the door for a while now...

Yeah you have to count for having easily the worst GM in football

Lewis, Dowdle, Osa, Hoffman, Golston and Turpin are must sign.

Anger, Mukuamu, Thomas and maybe Kendricks would be nice.
Mukuamu makes sense to bring back. I would be happy if they brought all of them back. Osa I doubt they sign. He going to be too expensive for Jerry

owner as well and I once upon a time wouldn't say that.

Good owner fired the GM years ago.

lol
I agree. I used to call Jerry a poor GM but great owner because even when he made mistakes with big swings and misses, he was always trying to win at all costs. The more Stephen has come to influence him, winning takes a distant back seat to the bottom line. I think when Stephen takes over he will have the most expensive, profitable team in sports and run it like Brown in Cinncy or Bidwell in Arizona

They could bring them all back but I think there is zero chance they do. They will hide behind Dak's contract and Micah's upcoming but they are full of crap. They could create $100M in space AFTER Micah is resigned and including Dak's salary, but they will pretend those things have broke them. I think they will let Martin and Tank go for sure and either rework Steele or June 1 release him. I think Osa and Lewis are must signs but at most, we get one back. I think we get back one of Bell or Thomas at S. I hope to Goodness they bring back Dowdle and let Zeke walk. I think one of the reasons they won't let Lance near the field is they don't want to drive his price up in case they can't afford Rush. There's no way we will no till FA arrives, because we gave all seen what Jerry saying "All In" is worth

Jerry speaks to the media weekly before the coach. Dallas is the ONLY team in football...This is what any coach must except here. Parcels just thought he had stadium leverage and Jerry would be a work around. Jerry tell death do us part...however, TE in the 1st is a tester. LOL..I KID

Haha, well, if things go how I really want, 3-4 QB's will go in the top 10 and one of either RB Ashton Jeanty, DT Mason Graham or Edge Abdul Carter will fall in our laps. If they don't, I would be all for a trade down to get more picks. My TE will play somewhere else, but I love the Heck out of the kid. He's got some of that Jason Witten helmet comes off but keep running style to him

I don't know if the Cowboys get in the top 10. But I could see them getting pick 11 which would not be a bad place to be.

I know they say any given Sunday, but I just don't know if they can win another game. Possibly vs Washington but I don't know..

don't see Jeanty going before Graham or Carter or much above 15. we could probably trade down from 10 or 11 to 14 or 15 with maybe a 4th and a 5th. pick up Jeanty in the 1st, Tyler Booker OG in the 2nd & Omare Norman-Lott DL3T in the 3rd. Anthony Belton OT and Antonio Williams WR in the 4th and 5th with Thor Griffith DL3T with our 5th round pick (152) and Nicklas Martin ILB, Xavier Truss OT and Cameron Skattebo RB with our 3 late 5th rounders (171,172 &173)

trading for 4ths not trading them
I know what you mean. I just think trading our 4ths the last two years are asinine when our entire talent upgrade comes from the draft. Your scenario involves trading down in the 1st to try and get a 4th back. I think that will be tough this year because no one is going to want to trade up for 2nd round grades 1st round picks.
As to Jeanty, if he is there, I wouldn't get cute. I would run to the podium. Adding Barkley and Henry made Philly and Baltimore legit Super Bowl contenders. Whenever the Cowboys have won Super Bowls, they have always had a HOF back. You would think in his 30 plus years Jerry would figure it out

nothing is out of the question, who ever woulda thought we trade down a small ways down in the first, land what Parsons became, and gained an extra pick to boot.

Many times the Cowboys get lucky on stars. They were CB all the way that year. The year Dallas drafted Emmitt Smith, they were going to take James Francis if the Bengals hadn't taken him. And we all know about Stephen's shouting match with Jerry to keep him from taking Johnny Football over Zack Martin. Even Dak, the year they took him, Jerry was doing everything he could to trade up for Paxton Lynch.

If Jeanty is there I doubt they would trade down . I think they would rush to the podium. The crop of skill position players is weaker than normal. I am not impressed with the receivers all that much.

Another thing I notice is Deon Walker is being mocked late first round. I think they are wrong on him. I see him being taken sooner than that.

could totally picture if Jeanty is there. the guy that takes card up, getting hijacked by @UK Cowboy & having any earpiece or whatever form of communication removed & carried to the podium, by UK, so no late Shenanigans could happen :heh:

Walker is going to be really good
