I lean this way as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing the list of 1st round graded players that would be 1st round graded in any draft. I'm drafting at 12 to land one of those guys.

From what I have heard, this draft is deep in spots(RB, DT) but the talent at the top is weaker than years past. The only guys that would have possibly gone in the top 15 of last years draft would be Travis Hunter, Mason Graham, possibly Ashton Jeanty and the Simmons kid from OSU provided his knee checks out. As you point out, we should get a good player at 12, but with our holes, another top 65 or even top 100 pick would come in handy

I’m a Brugler guy. His list won’t be out for a while. I really don’t care much about any other draft list. They just cannabalize each other. One moves a guy up or down and then they all do. Then everyone judges the pick based on where the Kipers have them Which is just BS. The other list I like to look at is Walter’s mock draft because they give a nice little write up on each guy but I’m not sure I trust their rankings much more than anyone else’s.

Check out Mike Green from Marshall as a sleeper shooting up towards the middle of the first round. Kid is an explosive pass rusher. 17 sacks this year
I did see him mocked mid first round by Walter football. He got bend and a lot of pass rush moves.

One of those mocks also had Grant going number 11. I keep thinking Grant is going to climb the board. Huge and has that wingspan.
I keep reading there are only 15 or so with true 1st round grades. Does anyone know of a list?

From what I've read these guys are sure bets.
Hunter, Colorado WR/CB
Jeanty, Bosie RB
Graham, Michigan DT
Carter, Penn State Edge
Johnson, Michigan CB

Then I ass u me
Starks, GEO Safety
Simmons, OSU OT
McMillan, Arizona WR
Warren, Penn State TE
Pearce, Tennessee Edge

That is 10 if I'm correct.
That a good list. Hopefully a 3rd team panics and goes QB

Something about Grant worries me. I’m not saying he won’t be a good player but I just feel like at 12 I need to feel a little more comfortable than I feel with him. To me he’s more a 20 to 30 type player. I just can’t put a top 10 grade on him.

I want defense in round 1 but I’d rather go OL or Jeanty than Grant And I really don't want OL or RB at 12. If we trade back I’d love to land Grant. I’d love a monster DT More than anything. I’m just not sure he is going to be a dominant force. As soon as I hear takes plays off I get turned off. Our last few early DT picks have been disasters and I think it is our biggest need, but just taking one because that is their position isn’t the answer. I feel like this team decides before they are on the clock what position they want and that is what sometimes gets them into trouble

I think this is fair.
Twelve would be a reach for Grant.

If we trade back as you brought up as a possibility in one of your recent posts I’m all for him. I just don’t see looking back in a few years and saying “Wow what an amazing pick at 12“ if it is him and I’m looking for a home run In round one because I've Given up on this team helping themselves thru free agency and we need help!
