Unreal the Vikings jumped on 4th down when the Lions were clearly going to kick the FG and make it a 3 possession game. Wow

Minnesota is kind of showing what everyone actually thought they would be at this point...

Rams are gonna kill them.

One thing I'm sure about is this: I'm ready for J.J. McCarthy next year.

Don't get me wrong, I like Sam Darnold. I just don't like bringing him back at $50+ million /year or whatever it would take to make it happen. We've already seen his limit, and that is doing well on an otherwise really good team. That type of success won't be easily repeatable if the team decides to put 1/4th of the team salary cap into him. Might as well see what the guy they drafted to be the future can do next year before they have to pay guys like Addison.

Gibbs with another TD and that will seal it up, Lions will win the game and get the #1 seed in the NFC. Dominant second half by the Lions, their O wore down the Vikings and moved it well in the second half, while the D got some huge stops and had Darnold rattled.

Minnesota is a really good team this year, make no mistake.

However, there are about 4 or 5 teams that are clearly even better, and half a dozen more that can hang with Minnesota. Which makes for a good regular season that will end with middling results in a division like the NFC North.

Vikings D initially came to play. They just got winded and gave up when it was clear the offense was never going to give them any help. The loss falls squarely on the Minnesota offense, as far as I'm concerned.

It is when your own team of choice has shat the bed in glorious fashion for what feels like the 25th+ time of your life. No salt towards Detroit fans, I'm just tired of the Vikings putting me through this.
Every team "shits the bed" every time they lose.

The Vikings have a hell of a D.. but the QB turned back into Sam Darnold again. Credit to the Lions D and especially Aaron Glenn for a couple of you Aaron Glenn hater Lions fans here.. you know who you are.

Sam Darnold was exactly who he was all season long out there tonight: A QB who can captain a ship really well that's doing well besides himself, but struggles mightily when anything goes wrong. Just more proof that he shouldn't be made into a franchise guy with a team heavily investing in him based on his regular season with the Vikings. But some team will, because it seems teams always overpay for QBs with glaring flaws if they've succeeded before.
