I don't consider myself a scout. Nor should some of the past Pats scouts with regard to some of their choices. It would be nice to learn how much, if any of their reports/recommendations BB ever used?Two QBs both of which I like.
I agree 1.500,000 % but in the event they choose to take a QB, you gotta do the homeworkI don't consider myself a scout. Nor should some of the past Pats scouts with regard to some of their choices. It would be nice to learn how much, if any of their reports/recommendations BB ever used?
I'm still in the camp if we can get someone's 1st and 2nd this year and their 1st next year, Or 1st & 3rd + whatever other pick equals the trade value and next years 1st, I'm trading back and taking one of the other top 6. JJ, Nix or Penix. It's such a crap shoot, give me those additional picks. QB, WR, OL can all be filled with potential starters.
Everywhere on the tube and radio people are saying that the Vikings and Giants are the two biggest partners at the moment for the Patriots to trade out of #3.I agree 1.500,000 % but in the event they choose to take a QB, you gotta do the homework
I know there are charts used to govern value of trade positions Vikings trade has a lot of value, Giants trade has value and may still land McCarthyEverywhere on the tube and radio people are saying that the Vikings and Giants are the two biggest partners at the moment for the Patriots to trade out of #3.
Rumored trade bounties:
Vikings = #11and #23, 2025 and 2026 first round picks
Giants = #6, #47 (2nd), #70 (3rd), 2025 first and third.
Consideration!!! Will either team make it deep into the playoffs and thus the picks be at the end of the first round??
Raiders, Broncos have also thrown their hats into the ring but no one has any idea what they could offer to get more consideration.
According to Daniel Jeramiah, Patriots might do the deal with Giants and then trade #6 with another QB hungry team, possibly the Vikings and still end up with the #11 and #23 and have 2025 first round picks from both NYG and MIN.
If you agree 1.5%, why not keep it simple and just disagree?I agree 1.500,000 % but in the event they choose to take a QB, you gotta do the homework
Using those charts is a fools errand. Every draft has it's own unique sum of values. IMO - the "Jimmy Johnson" system was meant to start a conversation and not meant to set a currency value.I know there are charts used to govern value of trade positions Vikings trade has a lot of value, Giants trade has value and may still land McCarthy
The point being teams do their homework year in and year out and still swing and miss often.I agree 1.500,000 % but in the event they choose to take a QB, you gotta do the homework
End of the 1st combined with NEs pick would give the Pats capital to move up if they choose so? Plus if NE trades down this year, they fill a couple of the holes this year they aren't as in need to be in the top part of the 2025 draft.Everywhere on the tube and radio people are saying that the Vikings and Giants are the two biggest partners at the moment for the Patriots to trade out of #3.

Agreed, it's often a crap shoot there have plenty of round 1 and 2 busts and plenty of round 5 and 6 gemsThe point being teams do their homework year in and year out and still swing and miss often.

Isn't "starting a conversation" what he is trying to do?Using those charts is a fools errand. Every draft has it's own unique sum of values. IMO - the "Jimmy Johnson" system was meant to start a conversation and not meant to set a currency value.
The conversation I meant was between two teams making a trade, not us here. For us, all is fair game.Isn't "starting a conversation" what he is trying to do?
Or is he showing you you cash?
Earth shattering reporting by Andrew. What else would he say? We're not interested?According to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, Jerod Mayo hinted that the Patriots are listening to every team that wants to get the #3. He also hinted that unless that team is willing to "sacrifice", there will be no deal.
Then I won't post anything else .We're not interested?
Not sure where they quote came from?Then I won't post anything else .
OH HELL YESWould you trade the #3 for four first round picks or something else???
Patriots Draft Rumors: Teams Facing 'Historic' Price For Club to Trade Down
Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston continues beating the drum that if another team wants to move up to #3 overall and make a trade with New England, it's going to cost them. A lot.www.patsfans.com
