I don't disagree. I was more commenting on Dilfer being the low bar standard. In the last 10 years 7 SBs have been won by Brady or Mahomes and two out of the other three had very good QBs with a very good playing Nick Roles being the outlier.

Bradshaw and McMahon is personalities elevated the team play. They both deserve a bump up in stature. In McMahon case the team chemistry changed and his impact was very short lived.

Many on this list deserve good and not mediocre. How termed was a backup who played great for a stretch and Eli played great for stretches.

Your comment supports my theory that the NFL has or is transitioning to mobile QBs. Now that mobile QBs are no longer guys that can just run but can also pass QB is even more dynamic a position. I do feel QB is still the most important position on the field, just that teams do find a way to win with those Brady and Mahomes type guys

History has proven those QB's from California fail miserably in New England.
I can't think of anyone in particular that played here after starting his career as a QB in CA but I'm sure some one older with a better memory that me can think of someone.
