Nice feature on the Canadian women's rowing team who train on Quamichan Lake which is a stone's throw from my house on the island :thumb:

At least a silver medal here - Our ladies are killing it thus far in Paris.

I think France is upset about losing to Canada in soccer yesterday as they are killing Canada in women's basketball today.

I have to say it's tough to cheer for a team with a Nurse in the lineup :D

She is Canada’s first ever Olympic champion in judo.

lots of firsts this year...

It was odd, I'm not familiar with the officiating in judo, but the Canadian won both her semi-final and gold medal match by her opponent being defaulted by penalties (essentially refusing to attack).

i seem to be catching all the judo on the TV when it comes on... and I can say I do not understand how they score at all lol... I see so many things that I think are points but they are warnings/infractions

I would be ejected in 30 seconds haha I studied Hap Ki Do in Calgary for years and it was a combo of Hap Ki Do, Taekwondo, Judo and some weapons training. Everytime I would go into the grappling part I would revert to armbars and nerve pinches lol..
