I wonder if he's related to the former defensive coordinator of the Giants....

And this.

So my question is...Why are the Patriots becoming Green Bay East when it comes to front office? what is this now? 5?? What was Green Bays success? did I miss something because last I remember, Green bay hadn't been to a Super Bowl since...2011? 2012?

I just want a GM I don't care who does it, Kraft I assume?
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Patriots director of scouting Eliot Wolf “will be in charge of the personnel department, with control of the 53-man roster.”
With Bill Belichick out of town, the Pats are doing some restructuring in their front office. Wolf appears to be the de facto general manager, though he will also work closely with Matt Groh among others. He has been with the Patriots since 2020 and spent 14 years in Green Bay plus another two with the Browns. Wolf has interviewed for multiple GM vacancies but has never landed the job. Though it looks like he won’t get the title in New England, he appears to be the final authority on the team’s roster.

I'm not sold on Wolf. Hope it all works out though.

The season ends tomorrow with the Chiefs and 49ers playing in the final game of the season.
That being the end, the new season can't begin until March 13th. Things are going to drag unless the front office makes a herculean effort to do the only thing that they can do. Re-sign their own players and if successful, have an attack plan ready for the first day of free agency.

Troy Brown ... didn't make a bit of difference.
This is my point.

Actually, I think he may have made a difference.

At the beginning of the 2019 NFL season, he began coaching in an unofficial capacity with the New England Patriots, assisting wide receivers coach Joe Judge, who was often busy with his other role as special teams coordinator.

A negative difference.

A new OLB coach...
I heard, haven't seen where he's aboard.

Defense is pretty much settled for coaches.

Haven't heard or seen who is or is not staying on offense, if anyone.

We do have a new O-line coach. RB,WR, TE and QB haven't been named,

Now the intriguing stuff is starting. NFLHeroics.com (Really???) is reporting That Sean Peyton is extremely frustrated with one Russell Wilson's performance and attitude that he's made several "welcoming" and "friendly calls" to Jerod Mayo. One source has told them that the calls were also to establish real communication about sending Wilson to New England straight up for Mac Jones.

Reportedly, Jerod thanked him for the offer but said that Wilson's 5 year $242.6M contract was worse than putting Mac back in as the starter.
Here's the breakdown that the Broncos are chewing on:
2024 Salary = $17M Cap Hit = $35.4M
2025 Salary = $37M Cap Hit = $55.4M
2026 Salary = $40M Cap Hit = $58.4M
2027 Salary = $40M Cap Hit = $53.4M
2028 Salary = $40M Cap Hit = $54.4M

Peyton and the Broncos are supposedly willing to eat part of it, even th $37M guarantee that he has if he can't pass a physical next year. Why the hell would anyone have a contract that would guarantee money three years from the signing of a new contract unless they knew something that no one else knows. Talk about a poison pill.

Hell, I'd keep Mac before trying to bring on that contract or locker room problem.
