Yeah clearly the Ws decided improving the defense was the priority (Slo Mo, Melton, not Hield so much), and they are now better defensively with them instead of Klay without really giving up offense. But this only bumps them from like 10 seed level to 8 seed level. To be even fringe contenders they need one more legit piece, like Markannen.

Lavine possibly, not sure anyone wants him.

Probably some other small to mid ones here and there for some playoff teams trying to get better. Mostly sign-and-trades.

He and David Robinson would be amazing in the modern era.

Hakeem was skilled enough to score in a variety of ways, even if he isn’t just being ISO on the block.

And he could move his feet.

Like a bigger, better Bam Adebayo with Joel Embiid offensive impact.

Hakeem would be the best big in the league today.
