Maybe I’m mistaken. I thought his dead cap number this year was close to 20 million according to spotrac but then again, I often make mistakes reading the columns on that website. You may be right.

There's a $21.515M Eagles dead money cap hit for 2024 rather than a $20M or so cap hit for keeping him. Overthecap display things slightly differently to Spotrac, but the dead money is listed at the bottom of the page.
