Low risk, high reward signing.
He wasn't really himself even before the Achilles injury. That previous knee injury knocked him down a peg.

The Jets lost some guys off that defense to FA.Interesting. A strong addition to an already stellar Jets D.
I mean the one thing is Burns is about 5-6 years younger... so there's more upside and Clowney is probably on the downside of his career.
That said, I don't know why the Giants wanted Burns to begin with because they're prob. not going to be relevant for another 2-3 years unless they just strike gold in the draft. In my post above I graded it more favorably for the Panthers because it's obvious Burns was just gonna leave anyway, at least they got SOMETHING for him lol... but it could've more last year (prob. a 1st and future 2nd).
2026 3rd. Pretty cheap.
Too cheap for me. That’s the same compensation they would have gotten if he played 2024 for Philly then walked in the off season.2026 3rd. Pretty cheap.
No, that comp pick would be about a half round lower than the Jets pick.Too cheap for me. That’s the same compensation they would have gotten if he played 2024 for Philly then walked in the off season.
Why doesn't this twitter fool say it's for a 2026 pick?
Nah, it will be a 2026 3rd rounder they get.No, that comp pick would be about a half round lower than the Jets pick.
It isn't guaranteed either, should something happen to Reddick with injury, or if the Eagles made a big signing next offseason.
2 drafts from now.Yeah a pick around 75 instead of 95.
Exactly. And they’re taking a cap hit for his dead cap this year. Just dumb to not have him playing for the Eagles this year relative to what they got back. That's when you would get a comp pick with a year left on a guy's contract.
