What does that mean if I can ask?He is the safest QB right now.
I don't get that in all honesty.Every credible mock draft site has us taking Maye. I was going to post the same thing. Grant Paulsen is all in on Maye as well.
What does that mean if I can ask?
You do realize that daniels rushed for a 1,000 yards in the sec right?
Seems like daniels is the safest qb right?
What has maye done that daniels didnt do better?
Daniels has his warts, that is true.
If the concern is his weight or physical build, how come mizzou or alabama did not knock him out of the game during his scrambles?
Can someone explain how maye is more accurate, has a better arm, is faster, or is more of a playmaker than daniels?
I like maye and feel he is a good qb. I would support the draft pick and be excited for him.
However, anyone claiming maye is better than daniels did not watch daniels and the sec this year.
The numbers are not even close.
Daniels: 6'4 at 210 lbs
Qbr = 1st in ncaa
Comp rate = 73%
Yardage= 3,800
Tds 40 and ints 4
Rush yardage = 1,134
Rush tds = 10
Maye
6'4 at 229 lbs
Qbr = 15th in ncaa
Comp rate = 63%
Yardage = 3,600
24 tds and 9 ints
Rush yardage = 450
Rush tds = 9
Daniels put up those numbers in the sec. Maye put up those numbers in the acc. Daniels can put in weight I am sure if that is the concern. If someone likes maye better, I get it. But he is not a safer pick, nor is he a better qb.
I am not going to have another Rivera or chase Young type discussion, but daniels is better than maye and it's not close.
post #947What makes him safe?
How does Daniel’s have a higher bust potential?not saying better or worse, I just think he has a higher floor being a true drop back passer. Daniels and Willaims have bigger upsides but bigger bust potential in my opinion. Phenix is good all-around but those acl's could be concerning. Im curious to see what he does against MIch.
How does Daniel’s have a higher bust potential?
Have you seen him play?

How is maye a better passer? Show me the data to support that. Daniels threw more accurately and for more tds than maye. You aren't making any sense.
So you like maye better because he doesn't scramble as daniels?yes, the way he plays. more prone to injury. I like him and his game. No argument.

Daniels is more accurate and a better passer than maye.
But you said safer pick and have yet to substantiate that.plus, it depends on who the HC/OC are. That factors into the equation

You claim he can get injured but that is it.
Well, I am not going to have another Rivera argument with you. I have shown how daniels is the better qb and being a safer pick doesn't make a whole lot of sense.i didn't say like i said safer. i haven't really broke it down yet to be honest.
I just proved that daniels is the better drop passer Dean. Show me the data that shows maye is a better drop back passer or are we having another Rivera argument where you like something but have no evidence to support it?yes b/c of his drop back game. but he is not the pick with the most upside.

Daniels is elusive, more slippery, and a superior athlete to maye.
Why isn't daniels a safer pick if he can better elude the pass rush and escape?

Yes for a qb. If a qb is selected, it should clearly be daniels if available. I am not sold on drafting a qb and think fields is an option.i haven't gone to the numbers. Is Daniels QB#1 for you?
