I still think this series is about pace. The team that is most effective dictating the kind of game that’s played will be the winner in my opinion.

The altitude benefits the Nuggets so the Lakers need to slow it down and play a halfcourt game.....not get out and run with these guys.

Being a homer I look at AD scoring 40, Bron 1 assist away from a triple/double and the Lakers shooting 54/46 and still losing as something that’s gonna be extremely hard to replicate again. Obviously Denver had some shots go their way tonight but if I had to guess a team whose more likely to replicate that kind of offensive performance again I’m gonna go with Denver as that is more their style being the #1 Offense these playoffs. Lakers being the #1 Defense will make it challenging but AD and Reaves played out of their minds tonight, Jokic and Murray had a normal game by their standards.

All that said I still don’t feel super confident in Game 2.

Jokic had 34, 21, and 14......that is way above his season averages.....and I doubt KCP scores 21 in the next game.

Does it though? If you look at that offense (and you can’t take away everything) I wouldn’t mind living and dying with Aaron Gordon taking jump shots.

Yeah, try and limit what Joker and Murray do....make MPJ, Gordon, and KCP beat the Lakers.

I think the altitude adjustment will come naturally in Game 2. I’m talking about the horrible matchup of the Nuggets elite transition offense and the Lakers being horrid in transition defense. The Nuggets do their best work with early offense before the defense is set.

As a team, yes, with more substitutions. Individually, it takes about 30 days to get your body properly adjusted to the altitude.

Lakers play at a faster pace than Denver in the regular season and playoffs

If I’m Ham, I don’t respect AG’s attempt to space. And with a smaller cover, the natural thing for Jokic to do is to back him down, get him deep, and then take a shot from within 6-7 feet. I think AD can still lurk around the basket because AG won’t be able to make them pay.

I just really trust Malone adjustments. He is quick with them so i just think he will find a way to avoid AD playing CF when Rui is guarding Jokic. It may be positioning of AG or something else but he's not going to have AG where he had him last night. Even with the Bron and Reaves screen late in the game to get Murray on Reaves, he made a quick adjustment and put Murray on DS17

It’s amazing for how well run Denver has been recently they still can’t build a decent bench

Part of that is refusing to pay the tax for so long and also trading so many picks for Gordon and kid they sent in the Gordon deal

Yeah but Denver offensively played about as good as you can play. They only need one on the road. If Denver loses that one they have no hope in this series.

The difference between GS and Den is that AD dominated, but it didn't matter. Imagine if AD doesn't dominate, they would have lost by 40 yesterday. The rebounding won't change.

AD's points were not impactful on the outcome of the game. That is a problem.

I’m just not sure where you can put AG where AD is not still going to be positioned to help off AG.
