Lebron is a calculating Dude.

He is doing this for a reason.

Whatever upgrade he’s angling for should be revealed by Free Agency.

WCF isn’t a bad place to bow out.

But, Dude is still a top 10 player.

Rest that foot up and come back strong.
One of the radio rumors is maybe he takes a year off, gets rest, has surgery, mental refresh, then come back the next year wherever Bronny ends up, and plays a reduced role going forward like MJ on the Wizards. MJ played 60 games his age 38 season there, and all 82 his age 39 season averaging 20 points a game.

I wanna see him back in Cleveland for a 3rd time just to see the reactions of a certain Cavs fan that shall remain nameless.

I’d probably hold out for Allen too.

Can’t just let the Cavs fleece you like this.

:laugh3:
I know. Those Cavs players haven't won anything, no finals experience whatsoever.

Dude does have a ton of miles.

Would the Lakers still own his rights?

I mean, he can always go the Kawhi route and sit under contract.

* don’t see Lebron doing that he detests load management *

But, if he retire, and unretired, how would that scenario work?

Maybe...but more likely he wants attention however he can get it. Retire...leave LA, etc.

though I'd say extremely slim chance he retires.
I doubt he would pull a Brady...but possible. Retire and come back with another team.

If not, he is likely to be in LA for one last year then bolt to another team to play with his son.

Dude, this is exhausting.

There definitely missed calls.

But, not why you got swept.

I know you love your team and this doesn’t feel great.

But, as a fellow ref troll….

Let go, let GAWD.

I guess I could see pulling an MJ and quitting for 1-2 seasons then coming back to play with son.

OK...forget that...guy just scored 40 in a WCF closeout game. He'll be back.

Yup.

Unless his foot requires surgery with an extended healing time, he will be back…imo

No idea and perhaps the Lakers and he would work something out, it's just speculation but it's a reasonable possibility

James mentioning retirement is most likely a power play to get the Lakers to get Irving.

Definitely a factor.

The thing is, the Lakers have no cap room, no picks to deal, and no player assets to trade. There's no real way to upgrade the team significantly...except paying a ton of tax to sign Kyrie. It's a massive gamble but most big moves are, and I don't think there's enough to run it back and expect a title as we just saw. AD is brittle and not that guy, LeBron is aging in front of us, etc.
