Yeah, I don't get the Harden to the Heat stuff. A big part of "Heat culture" is playing your ass off on both ends of the floor and being accountable. Kind of the opposite of Harden.
I think the argument is that because of Heat culture you can survive his limitations with the core around him. At the same time, he’s likely to get Butler, Bam, and Herro better shots. Harden’s value is ass right now so @bksballer89 ‘s proposed Lowry and a future first sounds about right. That’s not a move the Sixers would do. If they’re not taking the three expiring deals from the Clippers with needed 2 way wings then they’re not going for Kyle Lowry when they have a similar version of him for less than 3 million a year in Pat Bev to play the back up PG role.

My thought is the reason you build something like heat culture is that it is bigger than one personality

And you can get a guy cheaper than
You should and the culture does the work to some extent

Watching him a bunch he has two problems on defense. One is his physical limitations. Even when dialed in, he’s not a great defender. Two, he’s not consistent with his willingness to play team defense. He rotates poorly. He often gets caught watching the ball.

But part of building a culture like that is players buying in completely. That's not Harden.

I will gladly take socially awkward over Dan Snyder all day long.

And we got Magic!

I think Magic being involved in basketball operations is not a good thing because he tries to insert his “expertise” too much.

But as a businessman investing in other sports?

I like it. Dodgers doing pretty well.

Magic is like the ultimate concierge for other sports. He's a "face" fans will get behind because everyone knows who he is, everyone likes him and he always has a ton of positive energy.

It's easy for him to "stay in his lane" with other sports. It has been great with the Dodgers because he could focus on shaking hands, kissing babies and doing what he does best...just being Magic.

In basketball? That can be tricky because, as you point out, he considers that to be his expertise, so it's harder for him to not try to interject.

Insult to injury….lmfao

Honestly though, that’s one night of tip money for this clown..

As his agent or the players assoc I’d be appealing that.

Most nba writers said the cba didn’t cover insulting an exec

It can’t get lower. The value comes in him helping to clear $75 million of cap space when he and Tobias Harris come off the books next summer.

You can get expiring contracts and picks for him

And you need the picks to make a move unless the bulls do the lavine thing

I think that makes sense for both teams tbh

Not a leg to stand on. That’s the epitome of conduct unbecoming. Most teams won’t exercise this option because they don’t want to harm the relationship. Harden already set fire to the relationship.

Not sure. I know the Rockets don’t

Preferring Fred to harden doesn’t mean they wouldn’t want him

I just don’t see a good match unless the sixers take Porter jr

Who does let maxey play pg…which he needs to Imo

Porter also is expiring since I believe every year is non guaranteed

And the league is much worse off because of it. Simmons didn’t publicly attack people like Harden did though, apples and oranges.
