Correct. The team on the other side of deal matters most. What do they think?
You mean the team that was too stupid to put a contending roster around a special player when they had 11 years to do so?
That the team you're talking about?

Not me. Cam Johnson shoots the three better, has a better EFG% and is the better defensive player.I would take Herro over Cam Johnson EVERYTIME
I mean the only team that matters. You seemed like you wanted to dismiss my assessment by saying it doesn’t matter instead of trying to actually debate the point. I just did it better than you did it by jumping to the only entity that matters. You mean the team that was too stupid to put a contending roster around a special player when they had 11 years to do so?

He doesn’t want to deal with the only team he’s been told he’s allowed to deal with? Weird that he wouldn’t jump at the chance to make another franchise better.Well the GM clearly doesn't want to trade with Miami as he made very clear over the last 3 weeks
He doesn't even want to tell Miami what he wants lol
And you claiming he's not a valuable asset doesn't mean he isn't.

But let’s not squabble over silly things. Cam Johnson wasn’t the best player in that deal. Mikal Bridges was. So despite the fact that I disagree we can agree that a deal with Herro as the key piece in the deal isn’t close to the value seen in that deal

Is he as good as Donovan Mitchell? Cause Utah got Markannen for him Cam Johnson Sexton and Herro is a debate. Two of those guys were the second best player in a deal for a star.Dame isn’t as good as Durant, but yes that’s also fair
Also didn’t you hear the new rules? Portland failed to build a winner around Dame so they lose the right to do what’s best for them in all future trades. Those are the new rules.Dame isn’t as good as Durant, but yes that’s also fair

Actually, I’m talking about Portland’s decision to drag their feet instead of taking fifty cents on the dollar for the best asset they’ll have in a long time. There's no real point to debate. The game is played the way it's played and Portland has what is likely the best offer they will get and they did it to themselves. You trying to talk about offers that don't exist is pointless.
If Herro and Sexton is a debate then so are the following
Sexton and Poole
Sexton and RJ
Sexton and Maxey

Yeah they are. Sexton wasn’t drafted into a great situation like Herro was.Herro and Sexton is a debate? LMAO
