For Philly’s sake, they better hope he plays to a MVP level and no injuries so if they do fall short they can get full value for Embiid. There would be a lot more teams in on Embiid than other stars previous that wanted out imo
Yep...they could get a huuuuuge return.

It should be the Knicks. They have like 6-7 picks they can deal.

Yeah....I think so too.
Stories since May that the Knicks are “watching the Embiid situation closely”. They have assets and have not done much this off season to tweak the team.

Or.....OKC.
Could be a dark horse but I don’t know that Embiid would sign up to play with all the youth if he wants out to go get a ring. Personally, I would prefer the potential players and picks OKC could deal. The key though is getting multiple teams interested and a bidding war.

If and when OKC is involved in anything close to this I’ll make a prediction. It will just happen, there won’t be any warning.

They definitely can put together a big package. I wonder if Philly would ship him to the west for a little bit less.

I’m not sure if OKC wants him or if Chet would play the 4 but I feel OKC has all these picks and needs to make a move for a star eventually. They have too many picks to sit around for too long

Embiid on the Thunder with all that young talent?

They could be a contender if they add him and another disgruntled star....they have the picks to add a few studs.

oKC is closer to being ready than most realize in my opinion. It’s coming together.

So with FA dying down and waiting on a Dame trade we are now speculating where Embiid ends up....it's what we do.

LOL.

I’ll make another prediction, at the end of the upcoming season Jalen Williams will be considered a top 10 player in the league. That’s how good I think he is.

If healthy....OKC is a top 3-4 seed next season.

Take less to avoid sending him to an Eastern Conference rival is bad business. You take the best package. If this plays out this way next summer they lose Harden’s 36.5 million and Harris 39 million from the cap (barring anything they do to maximize next year’s team). They’ll essentially be Maxey and whatever Embiid brings back. They’ll be in rebuild mode. They wouldn’t actually be competing with the Knicks for the rest of the Embiid contract. Honestly, I think Embiid hits a wall at 33-34 if not before. He’s 29 now.

I love it for Philly. I love it for OKC. My question is just Embiid’s perception. Is their youth an asset or is it a detriment? Who knows. I could see that going either way.

You know I’m on board with that. I just don’t know if Embiid would be is all I’m saying.
