Where does is code of conduct does it state a player can't own a gun?
Are you serious? He was warned with the first suspension. He is lucky it’s not heavier.

I think heat would prefer dipo over duncan

And the wizards should prefer dipo and jovic

Miami can stretch Duncan if they want to save tax dollars

They can stretch his 45m over 5 years iirc

I'm asking a simple question and you avoided it lol

I bet you money if Ja was in his home showing off his gun collection then nothing is done because players can own guns. The commish just didn't like the "environment" he was in when he had the gun

I don’t think anyone cares about a collection, nor should they You are correct, of course is the wannabe gangster stuff that got him in trouble. He’s an idiot.

You criticized Ja the 1st time and now you're defending him....LOL.

Exactly and that's essentially what @thunderc is saying when he spoke of the code of conduct.

If he's in his home showing guns locked in a gun cabinet...the league probably still isn't exactly thrilled, but at least would be showing responsible gun ownership.

But him hanging with friends waving it around and then coming back just a couple of months later and doing it again is just begging the league to take action and player conduct is likely what they used.

Nah, he was just pointing out that owning a gun isn't what Ja was punished for. It was the manner and environment he was in that got him in trouble.

Which is correct.

Yep. I'm sure the league would prefer that it's players not own guns, but it's their constitutional right, so the league can't do anything about it. So they just hope no one does anything stupid that forces them to address it.

But they didn’t. You can’t erase the past that says they held on to this asset for way to long. If you just assess right now in a vacuum, then I agree. But if you look at the whole picture this is text book mismanagement and poor decision making.
No doubt, already a mistake holding onto him. But that's sunk cost and now they have to make the best deal they can for the future.
