Just read something on the Harden situation. If he was traded yesterday before the new CBA kicked in he would be $35.6 million dollars. But going forward if he’s traded he has a kicker that takes the contract to 40 million. A capped team now has to send out $40 million in value to trade for Harden.

Yup, which I’m sure is why when he opted in he immediately asked for a trade.

Also heard this on a Sixers pod last night. The reason why Harden is pissed at the way “the Sixers conducted his free agency” is that they told him they wouldn’t engage with him until a certain date because they got hit for tampering last year and didn’t want to get in trouble again. That’s crazy to me haha. He’s under contract already with your team at the time. It’s not like Tucker or House last year.

I don't know what they are wanting. no one out there was a franchise changing guy anyway and it's all useless if Ivey and Cade don't develop further. After this year Detroit should have a better idea of what they have and they've added 2 guys who can actually make a jump shot which only helps Jaden and Cade be the guys who break down defenses.

I'd assume we will see some kind of minor trade with Killian and Bagley or Wiseman if the price is right.

I like the idea of Harden bringing back $40 million dollars worth of players. The Sam Amick article the pod I was listening to was citing maintains that Harden has already connected with Kawhi and PG13 and that they want to team up. Sorry @Mecca

It’s weird because I thought the rules allow them to engage after they got bounced

After Wolves sign their 2nd round picks they will have 15 and be just under the luxury tax. Seems like they are done after day 1 and want to run it mostly back.

If they have better health luck this year I think they could go all the way up to the 6th seed for a gentleman's sweep! Way better than the same thing from the 8th seed.......
Or maybe they deal KAT by the deadline.

Maybe, but they fully believe they played the Nuggets better than anyone else in the playoffs without McDaniels and Reid being available. It would take something monumental to change course, and if they lag behind because of an injury again they will keep trying to convince themselves that is the reason, not the team construction.

I honestly don't see a scenario where the Wolves attempt to correct course before Edwards seeks an exit...unless he goes full Lillard.
