I’m thinking Powell, Batum, Roco and the 2028 first and the 2030 first. The two picks are paramount. If that means they need to swap this to broke ass Morris for RoCo or Batum, I do that. They need the firsts so they can trade Tobias Harris for Lavine or Dame.
So the Clipps deplete the depth to add Harden and FA is over so they can't replenish the depth....or they raid the G-League?

LOL.

Yeah that’s how it works. If you want to trade for players you have to give value back. They’re getting James Harden and they’re keeping their two best players.

One of my favorite parts of this time of year is watching squads take on shit players with contracts that help them get to the salary floor in exchange for draft assets because when my team did it, the NBA decided to step in and use that as grounds to fire the team’s GM and replace him with a father/son combo of malfeasance that fucked over my franchise. Fun memories.
I honestly wish we could have seen the end result of the process. 76ers for sure took the practice to a further extreme than other teams, but the NBA only stepped in once it appeared it would be successful so other teams would not try it after.

That is why Harris and picks ain't landing Dame or Lavine...gotta give value back. And what you're proposing ain't it.

LOL.

I think that if it was allowed to continue organically, Hinkie is ultimately fired by the Sixers. He was great at asset allocation but his player evals, scouting department, etc…left much to be desired. The aspect that hurt was the forced installation of old man Colangelo and then the nepotistic fuck handing his kid a job. The window where the biggest mistakes were made were a direct result of the franchise being rudderless after BurnerGate with the younger Colangelo (Bridges draft and trade, Tobias Harris acquisition with the pick that came in Bridges trade, choosing Butler over Simmons, signing Horford to $25 million when he didn’t fit, and then giving Tobias Harris a bag making him untradeable until he’s an expiring deal). All of that transpired in the course of one calendar year with inexperienced Elton Brand co-managing with Brett Brown.

Holy Hally Tyrese.

A decent youngun making 52m this quick ? Is 50 m the new 30m ?

Don’t make sense Batman
It doesn't but I would take what Halliburton got over FVV...

Halliburton can still improve. At his age FVV is what he is....a good player while Hally could be a star.

Harris, Maxey, 3 firsts are plenty.

It depend on Dame. If we get to that point, Portland isn’t getting true value. The Harden situation is different. They don’t need to trade him. Harden isn’t incentivized to go fat suit Harden. He has no security. What he does this season directly translates to his last contract.

And in the modern NBA 39 million dollars of expiring cap is absolutely value.

Except....teams are going to be wary of trading for him after OKC, Houston, BK and now....Philly.

They are going to have to lower what they get in return.
