I’d probably just go with Fred, and then cam or brown and another piece

They got enough cap space to at least be annoying and a pesky 6 seed

@tlance what do you think? I always thought the Sixers would have to part with Maxey to make this happen. He’s not included in this swap. Do you do this without Maxey? Essentially it would be a distant first or two plus whatever 2nd rounders they can send along with Harris expiring $39 million of cap.

No.

I don’t come close to doing that without either Maxey or more picks.

Many more picks.

Distant, unprotected picks

Yeah when we were talking about this before, I thought for certain Maxey would have to be included. The financials say that they almost have to send him out. Reports that Maxey’s new deal could be in the range of 5 years and $200 million. With Beal Embiid and Harden already the rest of the roster with Maxey would have to be guys on vet minimums.

I don’t know. I think we already saw Portland with Dame when we saw Portland with CJ McCollum. Same same in my eyes.

I was assuming the sixers were doing this if harden left

Much like the Fred discussion last week

Doesn’t mean I’m not selling hard that he’s a better vision lol

Portland needs to make a decision

The longer they wait the worse it gets

I don’t understand keeping dame but refusing to pay the tax

I don’t think Harden is leaving. I think it’s all been a bunch of smoke for him to get every dollar he can in negotiating his last contract. Basketball wise, I think Harden/Embiid/Beal can coexist because Beal can play off ball. Maxey/Beal/Embiid leaves the Sixers without a PG. Harden isn’t a natural PG but he’s played that role pretty well in the regular season for the Sixers.

No way they get him w/o Maxey

That’s easy to say when it’s not your money. It’s not an owners job to throw caution to the wind and just buy titles. Fans might like it but the good ones figure out how to do it within a system.

And yet….

Who is the last team to win a title without being a tax payer??

I don’t think Denver is very far into the tax

Ok I guesa the warriors did it twice

The spurs in 2014 and the 06 heat….

That’s a short list
