Wowzers. Hard to believe Harden opted in.
That's a best case scenario for the Sixers long term plans and avoids the 3-4 year albatross deal for Harden.

However, some of the suggested returns (Powell and a Morris twin) are less than stellar.
Would rather we just run it back, then have Harden and Harris come off the books.
Pay Maxey and get one other star player.
Powell is a pretty good player.

What are you expecting for Harden exactly?

Oh, I like Powell, but he has three years left around $19M/year?

It restricts our options moving forward because Maxey will essentially be taking Harris' money.
Would rather have $30+M to chase a stud player than $10M + Powell.

That being said, Powell does seem like a Nurse kind of player.

Stud players aren’t really hitting fa that much anymore

Cap space is for role players and eating salary for picks

Being under the cap when Harris and Harden leave also gives them trade flexibility before extending Maxey.

Regardless, the Sixers have more flexibility now than they did before.

Philly needs to use this situation see if they can rope in a multi-team trade that gets Dame to Philly.

Knicks just need to stay put. Don't get in on Harden. Save your assets for the bigger fish; Embiid when he asks for a trade in a year.

Clippers gonna Clip I guess. Good luck having 2 guys that are always hurt come playoff time and then another guy who doesn't bother to show up in the playoffs.
