Better than any years for any amount for Harden
Yeah i dont see whats so funny. Most good players are getting minimum of 30 mil per year. If you want to stand out, you need to offer more than what you think most teams are. Not a big deal if it's a 2 yr deal instead of 4

41 mill per for FVV?

He's a good player but nothing super special and not worth anything close to that.

Tobias Harris is at 39 mil this coming season and Lavine is at 40 mil. Ben Simmons at 37 mil

He is better than at least 2 of those 3. 41 per year on a 2 year deal for a bad team trying to get back to winning ways is fine

do you really expect DJ to be able to do abstract thinking around math? You would have a better chance of teaching a chimpanzee Latin.

Considering its a screenshot and not an actual sourced tweet, yeah, I wouldn't believe it.

But he is my dream signing though. Depending on some move they make, Lakers can have the NTPMLE and the BAE. If you can get D'lo in for around 18 to 20, Reaves around 12 and Rui around 15ish, you can use the MLE on Lopez (12 mil per) and still have the BAE for one more player (Schroder, whoever). The Lakers would then be hardcapped but Lebron, AD, D'lo, Reaves, Lopez, Rui, Vando, BAE, Christie, the rookies, and a couple vet min guys (only left to sign under a hard cap) is a very solid squad.

Same rules apply if they sign Bruce Brown with the NTPMLE. I'll have to look over the new CBA penalites, but from what it looks like, its worth it to the Lakers to hardcap yourself at the 1st apron by using the NTPMLE because they'll be able to attract better quality players (like Brown or Lopez). The key though is they gotta do some gymnastics to get there. Bamba/Beasley gotta go (no biggie) but I think they also gotta hope they can get D'lo/Reaves/Rui back for fair market deals. If they come in at higher salary numbers, I'm not sure they can pull it off.

Big fat L of a trade for the Clippers. Got rid of Kennard and the pick that turned into Cam Whitmore for a 1/4 season rental.
Clippers gonna clip.

Ok.

But, Reaves is getting more than 12.

I could see him getting a vet min from the Lakers. He could be buried on the depth chart given their young guys, but the Lakers have been mentioned with him so many times that it seems unavoidable lol.
