Game so far looks exactly what it is
# 1 seed who are rested vs # 8 seed who are coming off a tough 7 game series where they also had to endure a lot of stress fighting off an epic choke job

I agree the Heat are missing open looks. I was talking about the Nuggets offense. They’re shooting great but that’s a product of the shots they’ve been able to get. Guys are getting to their spots with room for clean looks. Spo is gonna have to dial up a gem this series to manufacture a way to stop this group.

I would be more worried about the series if the Heat scoring issues had been coming from the defense. Heat have had plenty of wide open jumpers, those will start falling.

Heat have shot well above their season average throughout the playoffs. It would be a bummer for them if they returned to their season form now.

This team went from bring the beat 3 point shooting team last season to one of the worst this year. SMH.

If they go back to shooting the way they did against the Knicks or the regular season, they’re screwed. Good news is they’ve had open looks, they’re just not making them.

And your guy is great at adjusting. They need to use this half to establish something, run some things with an eye on seeing what they’ll do vs certain looks. Jokic is great vs zone. But shit you’re already down 17 maybe fuck around with some zone to see what it actually looks like and if there are tweaks that can be made. The thing I like about zone…you don’t even need to be “good” to be effective. The zone changes guys from being on their spots they drill. The muscle memory changes and you can get more misses. I don’t think they can run any one look exclusively vs this team. They need to slow them down and get them thinking. Right now it’s too easy. Gordon screens on little man and gets a dunk. Too easy.
