@Cincyfan78 Updated mock draft order scenarios:

* CB
* OL
* S
* EDGE
* EDGE
* OL
* TE
* P

OR

* EDGE
* CB
* OL
* OL
* S
* EDGE
* RETURN SPECIALIST
* P

Personally, I like the second path more, but I wouldn't complain regardless. Im coming around for Hurst and Huber is probably done.

It sounds like it. I believe the Packers weren't even the 2nd biggest bid on MVS. GB offered one year, NO offered two, KC offered three.

Scantling as Hill's replacement? Good luck with that...

KC better have one heck of a good draft. Makes you wonder about these huge QB contracts. See GB as well
No.

He's their 3rd receiver...or 2nd.

I don't think edge is a high priority. You get Ossai back this year and you have Kareem who played well, and Cam Sample who played well. All young. All under contract for awhile. That's not including, obviously, Hubbard and Hendrickson who both just signed contracts. There is also some value to be had in the middle rounds 2-4, IMO.

I think you look at DB, either CB or Safety. Have to prepare for losing Bell, likely for sure, and potentially Bates in 1 more year (unless they decide to tag him 1 more time). Apple can't be the full-time starter opposite Awuzie, so CB seems to be a logical choice early on.

They also need a solid DT to go in behind Hill and next to Reader. Shelvin is more of a true 1 tech behind Reader, so they could use a 3-tech guy with Hill on either run downs, or to rotate who can also rush a little from the interior. Plus, that is a position of need in terms of depth as well.

Think you still see them hit on OL in rounds 3-5 maybe.

TE will be interesting. If McBride is there in round 2 - do you take him knowing you could get a solid pass-catching TE for the next 4+ years? I guess depends on who else is available.

Getting 3 starting OL certainly opened up the draft, though - and allows them to move to wherever they feel they need to go based on who is available at the pick. Should be interesting.

Yeah, just a piece of the puzzle. Not a replacement. 10 mil per a little high maybe but have to look at the actual guarantee and out. Might be less. Hill's 30 actually being 25 per if they cut bait after 3 years as an example. Or Adams being closer to 23 per when all is said and done. Scantling likely in the 7-8 per area. Gives the Chiefs lots of room to work on other deals be it trades, drafts, etc.

$18M guaranteed. Likely $9M per for first 2 seasons, then $12m for the 3rd non-guaranteed year.
