And he isn't failing in the offense. The assumption, though, is that he should be looking like... well... what R Jones looked like in Tampa. Or better.

I'd imagine the good thing here is that Mahomes doesn't care too much about Jones' complete lack of pass protection because Mahomes seems to float out of the pocket under his own accord and people generally don't blitz Mahomes.

Yeah, I think R Jones will be the primary RB here
Jones the primary RB? No , I don’t think so.

CEH had a good rookie season, struggled a little last season due to injuries.

That KC offense looks to be a shell of what it was…

I wouldn't be so sure he is going to be the backup
I think he will be, Jones isn't a very good receiver out of the backfield.

I could see a platoon situation once Jones learns the offense.

FWIW, Jones and CEH have identical career Yards Per Target on receptions.

Failing is a strong word, but he hasn't exactly been as dynamic as you want a first round RB to be.

JARVIS LANDRYWR, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
Landry

ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio reports free agent Jarvis Landry wants $20 million per year.

The Browns released Landry earlier this month after teams weren't willing to trade for his $14.3 million salary. Coming off an injury-shortened 2021 and entering his age-30 season, any chance of Landry getting a $20 million per year deal would have to be backloaded with no guaranteed money beyond this year. Landry, who changed agents this offseason, isn't a lock to get half of that but could fall somewhere in the middle. The Falcons, Saints, and Chiefs have all expressed interest in Landry. The Browns, who saved $15 million restructuring Amari Cooper's contract, haven't ruled out bringing Landry back.

Take a 1yr prove it deal with a good team, preform and maybe strike a good contract in 2023.

Too old for a prove it deal imo. Dude should be ring chasing but if its money he is going after then he should probably look for an 'incentives' based contract because he can be a volume receiver.

Yeah, except he really isn't that good. He's a #2
Kirk isn't really a #2 and look what he got. You're right about Landry but seems like money is being tossed around to almost anybody.

He's 29 so he has 1 more chance to cash in.

He’s high. I’d give him $10-$12M. 29 and on the backend of his career. Good #2

Well, it's looking like the big "splash" moves are in the rearview mirror. Obviously, lots could happen and there's some very odd rumors circulating around the media but I don't really see any more big name stars changing teams. The most exciting news over the weekend was Will Smith bitchslapping Chris Rock at the Oscars and yelling at him to "keep my wifes name out your fucking mouth!"

Yeah you hear guys like him and Landry and reportedly what they are asking for and wonder if they or their agents even follow football.
