Adams took a long time to become Adams, making it a weird comparison. Wilson is ahead of that curve IMO.

I've seen projections for Wilson for about 85-1200-6, with Watson at 70-1000-6 (with a much more inexperienced QB). Just saying there isn't a huge gap between those two. The next Jets WR (Lazard) is projected at 53-670-4 and the next Packers WR (Doubs) is at 55-635-4. Going to the third WRs, Jets' Hardman is at 38-450-3, while Packers' Reed is at 45-590-3.

If Hall is out for awhile, is there a big gap between Jones/Dillon and Cook/Carter? Again, not a huge difference without Hall's upside.

OL favors GB (ranked 8th) over the Jets (ranked 23rd).

Defensively is where the Jets have the biggest edge (projected #1) over the Pack (19th).
Not really. He broke into the League when they had Nelson and Cobb in their prime. They were loaded at receiver.

The Jets QB play last year was dismal - if they had had solid QB play they would’ve been a playoff team IMO. Even if Rodgers isn‘t what he used to be, he’s still a massive upgrade from the 3 guys they started last year. Add in Cook and a healthy Hall at RB and you’ve got a much stronger offense to go along with a top tier defense. It’s why I’m picking the Jets to win the division. The division is tough - all 4 teams should be very competitive.

I agree that they have built a solid roster and have a chance but I think they are a 10-11 win team at best and that is with them going 9-2 after their bye. They will need to stay healthy across the board to do it which will be tough. They can do it for sure but the hype is a little overblown, imo. As much of a huge upgrade as Rodgers is, 40 years old behind a very below average Oline is a concern.

Wilson was pick #10, Adams #53. Wilson had over 1000 yards on 147 targets with arguably the worst QB room in the league last year, whereas Adams didn't hit those numbers until year 5. The trajectory is far quicker with Wilson.

It's not very below average....and Rodgers has one of the quickest releases in the League.

23rd for 2023 per PFF

And that's with their starters healthy. Becton just can't stay healthy and Brown is 37. Their coach went on a rant about the Oline play and Rodgers is pushing to trade for his buddy, Bakhtiari already. I'll believe it when I see it but it's a problem, imo.

Rodgers wants to bring all his friends with him as he changes teams. He didn't really want to change teams, just GMs lol.

Oooh, oh boy, Eagle fans will be all over this.
I think it’s a solid move. They’re sending a 4th for a developmental QB. It’s a low risk potentially high reward kind of move. Even if he never unseats Dak as their QB, they can “rehabilitate” the asset and turn it into a 2nd round pick or better down the line.

I think he would be decent backup QB for a team with solid O Line that gives him more than 2 seconds to throw the ball. He’s pretty accurate when given a little time.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if he's not the backup QB somewhere this season.

Are they going with Malik Cunningham as the backup to Mac?
