Why knock them if they had the money under the cap?

Just 2 seasons ago he had 918 yards, averaged 4.5ypc and scored 8 TDs. He can still play. 3 mill is not a crazy amount for a guy who has never had a massive workload where he logged 300 carries. He is also a good receiver out of the backfield.

Not to mention Dobbins is on the PUP.

Isn't Dobbins on the PUP because of a contract dispute? Not really injury related?

Not sure but Gordon could be an insurance policy in case he decides to not play....or depth. And that's never a bad idea with injuries at that position.

Sure, but $3M for an insurance policy behind the crew they already had (Dobbins, Gus, Hill) seems a little extra.

The Colts called Hunt and offered more money while he was visiting the Saints.....

The Jets look pretty loaded now that they add in Cook on offense - Cook and Hall should be a stellar RB duo and the strong rushing game will mean less pressure on Rodgers. I think the Jets are the favorites to win the AFC East.

Good skill position players but I still don't trust that Oline to hold up and their early schedule is brutal. If they can somehow split the first 6 games, then I might give them a shot at the division but they are counting on a 37 yr old LT and a RT that can't stay healthy. If they struggle early, the vultures will be out in NY and then we will see the real A.R. diva come out. Defense is legit though so maybe they can steal a couple low scoring games like they did last season.

After getting Cook they are right there with the Bills IMO. I thought Cook was going to end up in Miami....

I think this likely means Hall isn't back soon.

While AR may be an upgrade over the dreck the Jets ran out at QB last season, he's also old and was sub .500 and pretty inefficient with the Packers last year with some of the same WR corps. He's basically swapping Watson and Doubs for Wilson.

Some are speculating that Wilson could turn into an Adams type with Rodgers throwing him the ball. Wilson is immensely talented and had a really good rookie season. He could develop into a top 5 receiver with AR at QB

Adams took a long time to become Adams, making it a weird comparison. Wilson is ahead of that curve IMO.

I've seen projections for Wilson for about 85-1200-6, with Watson at 70-1000-6 (with a much more inexperienced QB). Just saying there isn't a huge gap between those two. The next Jets WR (Lazard) is projected at 53-670-4 and the next Packers WR (Doubs) is at 55-635-4. Going to the third WRs, Jets' Hardman is at 38-450-3, while Packers' Reed is at 45-590-3.

If Hall is out for awhile, is there a big gap between Jones/Dillon and Cook/Carter? Again, not a huge difference without Hall's upside.

OL favors GB (ranked 8th) over the Jets (ranked 23rd).

Defensively is where the Jets have the biggest edge (projected #1) over the Pack (19th).
