I like him. I don’t understand why Tampa fell in love with Fournette. I think Jones was the better back. Very nice complement to Pollard. You know it pains me to say this but I like the Cowboys off season so far.

I actually dont think Jones complements Pollard at all. Jones is the type of RB you sign to back up Pollard. Dallas still needs someone to do the dirty work and thats not Jones.

Might stick, might be a camp body. Fills a need at this time.

Dallas has been a top five team drafting over the last 5 or 6 years.
They are in a good position to draft BPA.

I think I would let Pollard finish his own drives. You can find a guy to play the role you’re talking about though. There’s what? 6-8 carries of this kind tops in most football games.

I think he should say that stuff about his new team. He needs to play his part in bringing belief and confidence to the locker room. He may grade as an average safety but he’s a hell of a football player. He has a knack for being around the football and then making plays when he’s there. He was only a safety for one year. I think he would have progressed further. Was talking to Mebert the other day and he was saying in the Lions scheme they have a pseudo slot corner/safety hybrid position. That could be a great role for him if used correctly.

He makes plays, I'll give him that. And if he can help turn that Detroit defense around, he'll prove me wrong. But he hasn't just yet.

Is this CJGJ? He came to the Eagles like 2 weeks prior to the season. At the same time, he never seemed to have a glaring issue with alignment and assignment. He is a solid safety with a nose for the football. I don’t think the Eagles tapped into his skill set enough. He is a hybrid with experience as a slot corner. He was so good in that role the Saints offered him a nice deal he turned down. The big issue with the player isn’t on the field stuff. He has a whacked out vision of his value.

I have no concern with Pollard finishing drives or getting the dirty yards. He showed the last couple of years he can run through the muck and get tough yards between the tackles. It just happens to be a strong point of Zeke's so he got most of those carries.

My concern is just the sheer number of touches he may get if they don't get a good complimentary back. He is just not built to be a workhorse back IMO and I think if they try that, he isn't going to be effective when the games count the most. In the two games Zeke missed last year, in one Pollard tapped out in the 4th Qtr and said he was done (was a blowout so who knows if he could have stayed in if he really needed to) and in the other I'm pretty sure they also pulled him off the field late (maybe in OT?) for a couple of snaps. He is electric and can absolutely take over a game and win it, but I just think he needs to be in a 70/30 at most time share or they may regret it.

I'm always BPA with a slight lean towards position need, so I just want a guy who makes an impact from the start. With Cooks and Gilmore onboard, ideally an OG or DT for me but Robinson seems to be the choice for most Cowboys fans and he would certainly help from day 1. I also wouldn't mind a LB but they always seem to be a round 2 or 3 choice
