I still do not understand the need to have Kole Calhoun on the team.

i still can't understand the need to have Willie on the team when Solak, McCarthy & Marisnick can do it better

Maybe a hold over bounce back candidate?especially if we play him only vs RHP and get his numbers up.. maybe trade him at the deadline and pull up our best prospect?

It just seems there are too many OF. They like what Willie is doing even without results. They have always been enamored with White. Solak has earned significant playing time as has Miller. Garcia will play every day. McCarthy has had a great spring.

Why not keep McCarthy instead?

Not to beat up on Wille but who can he displace on the team? I can not think of one.
Kole is getting older and has no future on this team. Seems we have little room for either Calhoun.

i agree we don't need either especially with Solak, McCarthy and Marisnick more suited to where the team wants to go

Mentoring or an insurance pick up at low price. But yes McCarthy has proven interesting.

I jist think the Brad Miller pickup and a few other developments makes him expendable now.

I do not have a good argument against especially in a rebuild year. At least it is only one year contract

Possibly a trade is in process without a taker yet. Hopefully it can happen and Willie being involved.

One thing that is different for the club now is they are making the tough decisions to lose players that are not in the future plans minus pitching to bridge.

Do think K Calhoun was meant to bridge but sure don’t want him blocking young OFs that need to show us what they have.
Injuries do happen though especially to older players

Yes and probably right that Miller is enough.

Over/Under: 74.5
It should be fascinating to watch how far more than half a billion dollars in offseason investments gets the Rangers in just one year.
They should immediately be better offensively and in the middle infield with both Corey Seager and Marcus Semien on board.
But they didn't address pitching well enough to be a real threat this season.
A 15-game improvement would be a welcomed site in Arlington. But there's still only one winning baseball team in the Lone Star State.
Prediction: 75-87

Wonder if we are looking for trade partners and that is delay so they can add Holland
