Winn gives up a couple of doubles in his second inning, but the announcers were heaping praise on him. His composure, his confidence, and his pitches really impressed them.

I wonder if we will ever see contracts with WAR incentives?
I highly doubt it, but like the idea for some players.

Like Conforto for instance.
5 year $65 million $13 per year base
If he’s above 2 WAR he gets $3.5 mil more
$3.5 mil more above 3 WAR
$3.5 mil more for 4 WAR
$2 mil bonus top 20 MVP $4 mil top 10 $6 mil top 5

Seems like I've read that there isn't an official method to determine WAR, there are two different ways to calculate it. Could be wrong about that, but as it stands I don't think contracts will use it.

Yeah there’s not an official way
They could use fangraphs or baseball reference
Or an avg of the 2

Safe here but 40 miles to the north was bad. 11,000 acres burned.
Back to BB, been a long winter and not but 16 days till opening day and I am so happy. So much anticipation!!!!!!!

Yeah it was about 10 miles west of me.
Crazy.
Was awesome to see the whole community come together with food water and trailers to haul cattle and horses.
Everyone came together very well.
