according to the latest reports Seiya Suzuki is signing with the Chicago Cubs. 5 years, $70M
And Chapman traded to Jays and Schwarber to Phils.

Thins the field

Was not suggesting that scenario just saying we have four OF plus another or two possibilites so we don't need another.
we have 4 but 2 are injury-prone and are actually not very good in the field. we also have Reks and White but neither is anything but bench level players

I really doubt both Calhouns will be in the OF at the same time. One will DH if that

But yes we need a big COF bat at some point at least by next season if we weed the herd as suggested

He had suggested another 1yr type not a starting COF. Yes we do need a strong COF.

I really liked the Suzuki guy. Not feeling excited for any COF signings unless perhaps a trade.
If we let it ride it would not be a sin for now

I would expect at least one more position signing though before start of next year

This looks like a good under the radar move and sets us up for good utility players even next year as well as the obvious platoon for now.

Yes we need some OF help and really best for Garcia to not be in CF long term. I just hate to do a one year signing and let guys who are athletic but not skilled get one more chance this season.

The Calhouns are somewhat skilled but less athletic. One of them has to DH at best

I always liked an elite Defensive OF with at most one hole if the bat was elite

We are obviously not there yet

Unless a surprise move since Suzuki is off the table
