I really wish they would decide where they plan on playing him so he can get comfortable there, it might improve his hitting...

Ok. But he is still in my mind at best a placeholder. No value on defense and hitting is subpar. Seems like he has enough pop to go oppo but he has to hit it just rightI really wish they would decide where they plan on playing him so he can get comfortable there, it might improve his hitting...
Him being a hitter was the reason he was in the trade they always knew his D was shaky but figured his hitting would make up for that, needless to say it hasn't. Putting him in a position to fail (3B) isn't going to help his mindset or his hitting, he doesn't have the chops or arm for 3rd. He's best suited for LF or DH "if" he starts to reach his hitting potential, if not then he needs a new zipcode...Ok. But he is still in my mind at best a placeholder. I suspect a new zip code may be coming. Hate to say it but 2B maybe his best spot. Not sure he even has the arm for LF. I guess if he could really turn around the hit tool then DH might workHim being a hitter was the reason he was in the trade they always knew his D was shaky but figured his hitting would make up for that, needless to say it hasn't. Always a possibility but I do not see him as a keeper.I suspect a new zip code may be coming. Hate to say it but 2B maybe his best spot. Not sure he even has the arm for LF. I guess if he could really turn around the hit tool then DH might work
Not for me.Texas Rangers: Johnny Cueto would be an intriguing buy-low rotation upgrade
The Texas Rangers will still be in the market for rotation upgrades after the lockout, and one buy-low option could be Johnny Cueto.nolanwritin.com
it would only be a 1-year deal and we could move him at the trade deadlineNot for me.
Any chance the Rangers sign Trevor Story and Freddie Freeman?
Seems to me we have some already.it would only be a 1-year deal and we could move him at the trade deadline
same with Greinke
it's not as if we looking to win enough to get very far
we have several but none have any or very much experience with the grind of a 162-game season which would require at least 2 or 3 starters going 22-28 startsSeems to me we have some already.
that's pretty high0.0000000001% chance
If we landed Story who would play 3B?
Story or Semien ?
Neither...If we landed Story who would play 3B?
Story or Semien ?
No there is a better chance for either Seager or Beltre to unretire ala Brady than thatAny chance the Rangers sign Trevor Story and Freddie Freeman?
Probably unless he starts to hit...I suspect a new zip code may be coming.
If he keeps the ball in front of him and the cutoff helps him out he could play there, not ideal but passable...Not sure he even has the arm for LF.
If you look at his stats they're kinda funny, he did his best hitting 4th, 5th and 7th and with Runners In Scoring Position. When he hit anywhere else his average was quite a bit lower and the only RBIs he had without RISP all came on solo HRs (12).I guess if he could really turn around the hit tool then DH might work
