Make him a deal he can't refuse to stay on our practice squad?
a 2nd rounder on the PS? Some other team will make him an offer he can't refuse. If he learns in camp and preseason? Games on TV?
You'll lose him on PS if you want to keep him!

Use good judgement on draft day. if you're not real excited, wait till 3rd or 4th? Use him as a running back on the goal line? (Rerigerator Perry)
Did you watch his running play on the film I posted?
Designated 2 point conversion RB?

This kid can cover all over the field.

Maybe he's the new Slater. Full-time ST if he gets burnt too much. Wouldn't it be great to have a Devin Hester type returner? Then again with the constant rule changes who knows?
Jones is the all time combined punt and kick returner with 9
Hester in college had 6 KR's and 1 PR

You could draft him in the 3rd for that! but he can play CB
One quote said that if he played CB at Alabama or Georgia, he'd be the top prospect in the country.

I like this mock draft. Many are players I considered. It might be old school BB. Worth reading.....

Hell yeah that is a solid draft, I am not high on Phillips but waiting for WR makes sense to me.

Two O line Check

Two DBs Check

One Good LB Check

Real Good RB Check

Edge guy with a lot of potential Check.

These are all very desireable picks. Half of them would be nice.
One of the CB's is a teammate of Marcus Jones from Houston. He was also a CB that I was considering. He is going to go faster than early projections, as are many of these guys.

Well this was about liking the mock not debating it's feasibility. If that mock panned out I would be very happy.

Agreed. I just like that it makes sense. I don't agree with it all either.
That RB will be long gone before our pick that he projected. Everybody is doing their homework and his name keeps resurfacing.
He could be one hell of a receiving back.

I think that three or four teams will be all over BB for #21. He won't be shy in letting them know what the best deal is and
if they can come up with something better, so be it.

This draft is stacked at some positions and weak by others.
There will be very good players available at 21.
Whether BB sees value in those available players will determine if we keep it.

But can't you see BB taking two 2nds and a 5th for #21 from the Bears? or a late 1st, 3rd and 6th from the Chiefs?

Bears only have 5 picks in the draft and they have to get a WR for Fields. They've already called Bill according to B/R.
  • 2nd round: No. 39 overall.
  • 2nd round: No. 48 overall (from Chargers)
  • 5th round: No. 149 overall.
Talk about being set up to improve the roster.

I'd be excited but what if a really good 1st rounder was available at #21
Barmore was the top rated D-lineman in last years draft and we got him in 2 round. I'd be excited either way!

Would the Patriots take a Corner in the 1st at 21? I think that is our biggest current need.
There are other teams that need a corner that are ahead of us most all don't need a 1st round corner as much as they need other positions
Patriots don't have a #1 CB and getting lockdown corner at 21 would help
I don't see more than 3 CB's being picked in 1st round. At 21, we might be able to watch the chips go down for Houston, Detroit, and Indy.

2nd round CB's start flying off the board!

Question: Pitt drafts at 20 NE at 21, Pitt is now forced to draft or pick up a QB,, if they target Baker will the Browns demand that first round pick? How viable a trade partner are they now?

Any 1st 15 or better is a good target for a good player. 20 is low for a starting NFL QB.
Cleveland is in as much of a bind as Pitt. They must take something for him.
As a negotiator for Pitt, I'd be looking at the Brownies and smiling and ask if they really plan to carry 2 starting QB salaries?
For Cleveland, I'd be noting all the interest we are seeing in Baker. (truthful or not)

Who blinks first?

What realistic 1st round pick would cause you to lose your shit? For me it's Drake London WR USC. He is a taller N'Keal Harry. All I read about is how dominant his 50/50 ball getting skills are. That tells me he can't get separation at the college level. Pro DB's will eat him up. NO THANK YOU.

There's a reason Chris Matthews could have brief moments of success followed by being cut. As soon as teams realized he we there they knew how to cover him.

From what I've seen, I'd say that this guy is pretty close.

Edge seems to have the edge followed by Safeties, then CBs.

From there, it's a turkey shoot. QBs and TEs, to me, seem to be at the bottom of the pile. I haven't really given much consideration to RBs because it's not really a position of need.

As several in here have pointed out, WRs seem to get a whole lot of attention but as has been noted, there are a lot of questions.

The OTs appear to have some promise, but is promise=worth? I think I'd be more willing to gamble on an OT than a WR early.

Wait until late for a G.

You asked.
