Don't apologize. You're trying to keep interest at the absolute worst time of the NFL season. It's so bad that Doug Kyed and Mike Reiss are repeating stuff we've been discussing since Christ was a cowboy.

I can't speak for others, but the context I read is similar to my take. Posting that here created an interesting conversation. Whether someone agreed, disagreed, liked or disliked the comparisons are not relevant to whether or not the post here was worthy.

I don't think NE has a need for any of them at this moment.

Most are long in the tooth.

I would revisit later on in the season if injuries start to add up. Maybe Collins or Flowers at that point.

Does Amendola have anything left? Again later if we had injuries.

I got all of the Diehards Fantasy Football publications yesterday. Looking at players and not fantasy, there's way too much data to absorb in a couple of hours.

The predictions from the Pro Forecast:

2022 Bust - Damien Harris

2022 Sleeper - Tyquan Thorton

I believe Tom Curran reported back in 2013 that he had been signed as a Brandon Lloyd replacement, not Wes Welker.
Edelman was being groomed as the Welker replacement, even though at that point Bill was still trying to keep Welker.

He wasn't in New England for a long time, but two SB's and SO many of his plays were so clutch.
Pats Hall is a possibility, but it will be a tight vote either way.

Early on he had a hard time staying on the field... Then all of a sudden we look back and he turned in a solid body of work. What probably speaks loudest, even when Edelman was on the field he would have long stretches as TB12's "Go To Guy".
