Maxey is smooth and skilled. I like him. He only lacks experience and ideal size. He can be a good player for years.

Maxey's fun to watch. I like his game too. And he's a kid. Nothing but upside for him. His prime is still years away. 76ers gotta good one.

No one will give him that level of credit. Maxey is already a better shooter. People will point to Embiid and Harden and say Garland gets the top assignment of the defense. I would say if you give Maxey the green light and encourage him to shoot 20-25 times a game he’s already just as good. He out played him head to head last night.
You would say that but you don't know what would happened if the D was geared to stop Maxey like they were Garland last season. That said, not sure how much longer teams will worry about Harden.

By your "logic" Lavert (and many others) outplayed harden.

Harden has a lot to prove this season. But if he's anywhere near decent game shape I think he'll put up good numbers.

Last season he was outta shape but still put up 21 and dished out 10 assists.

Yup, he's only 21. Barring injury or some stunting of his development, he's only going to get better and better.

Yeah I don’t think Harden played particularly well last night. Wasn’t even one of the 5/6 best on the court last night. Embiid looked disinterested as well. Both guys played like they were just there to get a sweat and a few minutes under their belt.

Warriors got so many vets. They don't need someone to be a bully and assaulting people. Excusing and/or minimizing bad behavior is wrong. And Draymond happens to have bad behavior all the time, and now he has escalated to punching a teammate. Steph, Klay, Andre, and Draymond (when he is not bullying people) do a great job of talking to and leading their teammates. I'm certain that the Warriors would have great leadership with or without Draymond. There is no reason to believe otherwise.

Having so many vets is part of why they need Draymond, the vets are the ones who are most likely to get complacent.

There is more than 1 type of leadership on teams and both are necessary as it provides balance.

On the Kobe/Pau Lakers...Kobe was the "Draymond type" leader who got in everyone's face and didn't care what you thought. Derek Fisher was the "Steph type" of leader who would come along behind him to smooth the ruffled feathers. Fish was also the guy who could go to Kobe and get him to dial it back a notch when he was becoming too overbearing.

That's what the Warriors have with Dray and Steph, imo.

Yup, @tlance brought up a totally irrelevant point.

It wasn’t irrelevant at all.

It was a direct response to you talking about how much of a “problem he is”.

Michael Jordan was a problem teammate also.

As soon as Draymond is more of a liability than he is an asset, Bob Myers will move on.

That hasn’t happened yet, but we may finally be getting close.

so both Draymond and McCaw are role players. lol.

Yep.

Anybody who isn’t a star is a role player.

And no matter how you spin it, you were still wildly wrong about McCaw. Thanks for bringing it up!

Difference is, I can admit when I get something wrong. You lie and deflect to a Trumpian degree when you do.

Too bad he plays for the 76ers. :heh:

They should trade him to a team in WC to make things easier for the Celtics.

How many times they've won with Draymond before doesn't matter, which is what you brought up. It's time to look forward, and I hope that Bob Myers and company decide to move on from him ASAP.

At some point he’s going to become too expensive in light of the Warriors huge cap number. I’d be shocked if he gets another contract from the Dubs

He's totally going to screw the Warriors and opt in for next year. LOL.

You talk shit about him but he is a huge reason they are as good as they are. May miss him when he is gone.

I don't care about the past. Looking ahead, the Warriors will be better off without him, IMO. And there is also the matter of principles. How much does the organization want to continue employing someone who demonstrates poor judgment and engages in bad behavior as much as he does? And he has gotten worse. He wasn't punching teammates before as far as we know.

And he’ll miss them. He only has value on a team that has scoring and shooting out the ass like the Warriors. On most NBA rosters his inability to score would be a liability.

Every once in a while, there is an organization that does something because it is the right thing to do. But you're right, teams usually tolerate this kind of stuff if the positives outweigh the negatives. I don't think it does anymore with Draymond. His behavior jeopardizes their future.

The source of that Chris Haynes article is very likely to be Draymond. And Draymond probably consulted with Rich Paul, LeBron, and Klutch Sports.

Andre Iguodala even posted a tweet last night to squash all the noise that Poole is a bad guy. Iguodala said that Poole has great character.
