Oh got it. I should have read the article first. It’s likely that he has dual citizenship or likely tri citizenship? (Is that a word?). I bet he also retains citizenship of Cameroon. My guy is just a 7 ft citizen of the world.

Not sure how I would prove this but I think psychologically that many scouts saw Steph and in their analysis of his defensive flaws and size they projected him to be Dell 2.0…an accomplished shooter off the bench that could give a team instant shooting but couldn’t start because he couldn’t defend his position. Just a theory but I think that’s just a little human nature creeping into analysis.

I mean there’s a reason why there aren’t many guys with the profile of small, below average athlete pg who can shoot it deep who make it in the league like those 2 have.

I have this crazy acquaintance who coaches high school ball in Maryland.

Back in the day his team was playing Melo, and they were completely overmatched.

This was his game plan for Melo:

He told his players to back off him every time he got the ball and just let him shoot. Maybe even throw some insults in there. “You are trash Melo” as he is rising up for the jumper.

He figured that was his best bet to throw Melo off his game.

FYI OKC has not had the 2nd worst record in the league since the pre Durant days. One of those 4 guys the Thunder traded were going to make the roster, that’s it.

I’ve seen plenty of 2 team trades like this but never involving more than 4-5 players.

Favors is completely irrelevant in a trade between 2 rebuilding teams.
