I don’t agree with that.

There were legit questions about Curry as an NBA player.

Most assumed he was going to at least be solid, but he didn’t have much experience playing point at high levels and his ability to guard his position was always in doubt.

He was great in college, but Jimmer like outcomes were always a possibility for Curry.
Agreed. He was punished for a couple of reasons:
- Davidson
- size
-defense
Those things in a prospect lend itself to thinking this offensive whiz can only come off the bench because his defense will be a liability. When there’s a high likelihood the prospect can go that way, you look hard at another prospect that could project to being a starter. That’s why I tip the cap to guys who even sign up to be the scout for the NBA franchise. It’s very easy for us to say now, “greatest shooter of all time, you guys are nuts” with all this hindsight. Those guys actually make the projections.

Sigh…

look at what he did with TRIPLE TEAMS and NO TALENT on the perimeter my guy.

I have always been a huge Curry fan. I actually met him when he was in school.

All I am saying is that there were very legitimate questions about him as a prospect.

I always wanted Curry to do well. But what he has accomplished far exceeded anyone’a wildest imagination.

He was far from a sure thing.

That is all.

Of course I can, Curry’s hype was warranted obviously.

Kid could ball, like I said. Anyone watching him could see it.
No one is disagreeing with you, I'm just saying there have been more hyped players pre-draft. Like a kid named LeBron for example. Zion too.

@thunderc

Yeah, unless the Clippers go to complete shit in 2023 or 2025, we might be done.

Why would you swap picks unless we finished behind you?

ETA: Yeah, clearly I can't read.

2024 and 2026.

But, we will have a pick in 2023 and 2025.

The L.A. Clippers have acquired six-time NBA All-Star Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, forward Danilo Gallinari and the Clippers’ first round draft picks in 2022, 2024 and 2026, along with two first-round choices via Miami (2021 and 2023), and OKC obtained the right to swap first-round picks in 2023 and 2025, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank.

Yup, I don’t see any pick swaps happening.

The draft has a lot of randomness/missed expectations in it, drafting is hard and there's a fair amount of luck involved.

I'm a pretty big CBB fan, not just the big conferences. I started hearing about Lillard before the start of his senior season. And when Weber St. played at N. Colorado I went to that game just to see him.

Obviously nobody knew his career would turn out like this. But plenty of people knew who he was his last year in college. Pretty sure he was a top 10 pick.

Who didn't?

Not a casual, My Guy.

Ask the fellas from my old board.

* @DJ *

I have been on the Dame train since College.

Had many, many arguments with @WiggyRuss on Dame > Kyrie.
Yep.

You sure did.

Yeah, that was a weird flex.

I remember telling everyone about Zion when he was in High School.

Told everyone who would listen that Williams , from Santa fucking Clara, was going to be good.

He went #12.

Told @Retroram52 that the Lakers should take Christie,a.guy most never heard of, which they did.

But, I didn't know who the guy taken #6 overall was before he landed in the NBA?

CAP.

Next to the NBA, its the thing I follow the closest.

Both male and female.

Lmfao

People who watch College basketball did.

That would be the vast majority of us.
I thought he was a really good player but nothing like you swooning over him. I'll never forget his game vs Portland State when he scored.....I think 44 or 45 points?

Damn.
