Assuming you meant he's inefficient?

I mean, we have Garland, Allen and Mobley under team control for a while. Okoro, too, if they still think he's a core piece.
They may have another move in mind? Maybe LeVert and Okoro for a SF?

Honestly, I have to think he's better but never thought it was by that much. I mean, I'll trust this FO until they give us a reason not to, though. Friend just made a comment to me I thought was spot on......

"Fans tend to undervalue their own players and overvalue other players. We kind of did that with Levert and even Love when we got him to a lesser extent. Those saying it's a no-brainer are basing it off their hate for sexton and perception of Mitchell."
Your friend kind of has it reversed. More often fans overvalue theirs and undervalue the other teams' guys. Look at the trade scenarios Lakers fans like to suggest, for example.

Holy Shit, Cleveland!!!

This reminds me of all the tweets saying the Clippers were out on Kawhi.

From now on, every time they say that shit, I'm going to think that's exactly where the player will land.

Wasn't it just days ago that they said the Cavs ended trade talks?

I wonder how Mitchell and the Knicks are feeling?
It's almost like sometimes these insiders don't know what they are talking about (or have bad sources).

Yeah I meant inefficient.

The team you have now is the team you are going to have for a while.

Seems like a really good trade tbh

Only person i hate to see go in Markkannen. The Cavs played their best basketball in years when Sexton went down with an injury, and Donovan is a clear upgrade and only 25.
I don't see Mitchell as the "clear upgrade" that you do. I mean, he's better if that's all you mean but not sure how much better. FYI, the Cavs won 60%+ of their games with sexton last year and 52% without.

Garland, Mitchell, Okoro, Mobley and Allen is a nice starting 5 but they aren't finishing ahead of Boston, Philly, BK, Miami, or Milwaukee. They could get 6th I guess. Or be a play-in team.

But, in the playoffs? Bounced in the 1st, maybe the 2nd most likely.
Healthy last season they were a 2-3 seed. No doubt they will still need to add another wing and/or shooters.

What's up with the Melo rumors?
I think if Gallo was gone for the season... that might have been a cheap back-up plan for some regular season, reserve minutes.

They are better but the 3 position is very worrisome. I don't like Okoro in the 3 since he can't shoot. Even after this move they do not have a 2-way wing which is what you need to win
They might really believe what we've heard about Okoro in the offseason and his development. Can only hope?

"Buha: As far as Westbrook’s trade market, I’ve heard Indiana and Utah are the two most likely destinations. I think Utah is, from what I’ve been told, more likely than Indiana. There are several permutations there with Indiana where it could be Myles Turner and Buddy Hield together or one of the two."

The holdup is the Lakers not wanting to include the 2nd 1st rounder.

Some of them don't.

I'm one of the folks who puts a lot of stock in the things Shams and Woj say.

Usually, they know their shit.

But, even those guys missed on this trade and Banchero going #1 overall.

Could be that the Jazz re engaged with the Cavs after the Knicks extended Barrett.

But, I also think both of our organizations have gotten a lot better at keeping stuff in-house.

Did Mitchell pinky promise to try on Defense again? because he has not tried any of that in years.

"I’ve heard the Lakers are still reluctant to include that second first-round pick. Maybe that’s something that changes closer to training camp. I know It would’ve changed if Kyrie Irving was still available. That would’ve been the one scenario in which the two picks would’ve been on the table. Aside from that, they’re looking at it like, can we do one first-round pick and a couple of seconds or one pick and a protected pick or pick swap?"

As long as he doesn't take the ball out of Garland's hands, he's like a souped up version of Sexton.

Smallish back court.

But, Mobley and Allen can cleanup a lot of messes.

Just gotta worry about foul trouble.

I 100% believe this makes he Cavs better.

But, not sure I would have paid that price because it doesn't put them ahead of the Celtics, Bucks, 76ers, Brooklyn if they don't implode nor Miami.

It puts them with Toronto.

Ahead of Atlanta, Knicks...

But, weren't they already , arguably, there before this move?
Only area I disagree is if you really think this makes us better why not finish ahead of Boston, Bucks, etc? Sure looked like they were headed that way last year before all the injuries. Not all of them, but could have been a 2 or 3 seed.

Now whether it does make us better is another story.

What are you talking about? lmao. Sexton only played 11 games last year lol

Sexton is always injured (hasn't played a full season in 3 years) and is coming off a torn meniscus. Also, they had to give up more because Mitchell is considered the better player for a reason. Add in that he has playoff experience, and there is a reason the Knicks and the Heat wanted him badly.

We also weren't going to keep Sexton anyways once Garland came out as the much better player imo
