Actually I would be surprised if he isn't. It seems like they all got together and convinced him to give this year a chance. KD + Kyrie playing most games (for his next contract) + Simmons plus their depth is as good as any other contender. If it doesn't work then I see Kyrie leaving and KD getting traded.
We'll see. I just feel like you can't call out a GM and coach and then go back and play for that coach on the team assembled by that GM and not have that stink up the entire room and your own brain.

If they don't come out strong out the gate there's going to be issues pretty quickly.

as the HC and GM you need to stay above that, no matter how much it hurts.

Otherwise it will be a major issue.

the players are gonna pull this stuff as long as they can get away with it.

It's going to be interesting. That's for sure.

KD said he wanted Nash and Marks gone and there was another report that Kyrie "hates" them.

That's a lot to try to overcome.

Every team and personality is different. They've obviously been hashing it out. KD is a baller, he will play hard this year and if it doesn't work then he'll get traded. I suspect they told him exactly that.

Kyrie debunked that the day it happened.

That's not his normal M.O.

* see Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

He didn't hate Phil.

But, Phil, MJ and Pip sure despised Krause to a mocking him in person extent.

We know how that ended.

*see the Last Dance

Well, sure but the Nets aren't coming off 2 straight titles, they're coming off a disaster season where they got swept by the Celtics in the first round. Little different if you know you're trying to make history.

Maybe KD's professionalism takes hold, Kyrie is stable and games and the Nets show out on the court but if I were a betting man it wouldn't be on peace and harmony there.

Oh, no....

If they get off to a slow start, have a major injury?

They could implode by the deadline.

The only things they have working in their favor are:

1. Its a contract year for Kyrie. So, he might behave.

2. They improved their roster

3. The hope that Durant loves basketball more than he hates the Nets.

The biggest con?

They have a Porsche 911 roster and the equivalent of a 15 year old with his learners permit behind the wheel.

Just because you are great at Mario Cart doesn't make you qualified to drive Nascar.

Nash is a shit coach.
