I was watching Fat Windhorst and Bontemps on the hoop collective and Timmy came up with a deal that I would have mixed emotions about if I were a Lakers fan.

Russ, THT and both 1sts for Conley, Clarkson, Bogdo and Conley.

For one, that's too many guards and they all have a ton of mileage.

You don't need 3 more guards with Christie, Brown, Nunn, Reaves and Pippen on a 2 way.

Plus, do you even have the roster spots?

Most importantly, that price is steeeeeeeeeeep for a trade that doesn't make you a contender.

Bogdanovic would be a good get.

Why not just keep Russ and trade a 1st each for Bogdo and Buddy in separate deals?

Dunno why they wouldn't consider something like this.

The biggest reason Russ is a shit fit is the lack of shooting.

Both those guys help mitigate that issue.

Gary Trent Jr would be even better than Buddy.

But, I don't think you have anything that Toronto would want.

Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott would be cheaper options, as far as draft compensation is concerned.

I totally disagree on the need. Their guards on the roster right now are horrendous. All of those players from the Jazz would step in and play major roles.

While I do think Bogdo and Buddy would be preferable, it is a lot harder to make salary work in 2 separate deals.

The whole KD, Kyrie, Nets affair is a complete and utter shit-show of mental illness that would make any psychiatrist shit the bed. One morning, its the Nets don't trust Kyrie to the next a Kumbaya meeting in LA to get everyone to agree to move forward. Fine. The lot of ya deserve each other. The Lakers and everyone else should just move forward. This is a dead issue for all three and thus everybody else.
