Well Andre, for starters, the man couldn't hit a lay-up, dunk, 15-footer off of the backboard to save his life quite a few times last season all the while telling everyone that is an All-Star and deserves all that money he got in his contract. Then, the man doesn't understand defense, can't play it effectively, and gets confused about it. You play the game, maybe you should take a closer look at some of your colleagues that you seem to have a need defending!

Just heard this story from my dad, Norm Van Lier was a pretty good player for the Bulls (same back court as Jerry Sloan), but before there he was on the Cincinnati Royals.

Apparently he once got himself thrown out of a Royals game on purpose, so he could go watch the Rolling Stones playing near the arena that night. Huge music fan (obviously).

It's called perspective. Dame knows it's just a game. Fans should remember that when they wig out on message boards.
That's not reality though, fans will always be hard tough on players and their teams bc they aren't actually playing or involved in the game.

You ever watch Fever Pitch? Jimmy Fallon is an obsessed fan and then he realizes the players know it's just a game/their career. The fans get more nervous than the players. I get more nervous watching a game then playing it other than pregame jitters.

He was absolutely that guy. Forcing his way out of two situations, poor work ethic getting his body back into shape, caring more about strip clubs, etc. Everyone who said he was about himself were absolutely right. He loves Morey though and they have a good relationship. I’ve never questioned if Harden wants to win but it seems that is his primary focus now, still have to see the full product, most importantly-getting back into shape and stop partying every single night. Lots of players have accepted less to help the team, in some cases you don’t hear about it bc they don’t care everyone else knows.
Not sure how this story becomes about Harden forcing himself out of two places. Both the Rockets and Nets for all intents and purposes quit on him.
Rockets - fire Morey and bring in Russ; then bring in John Wall after Russ didn’t work? Yikes
Nets - who goes to do the super team thing with KD and Kyrie and then a pandemic hits and Kyrie goes completely off reservation with his anti vaxx nonsense.

None of that stuff is in Harden’s control. He used his leverage to get the fuck out of problems he never created in the first place.

The only thing you can pin on Harden was him getting all up in his feelings about CP3 ragging on him and this resulting in Harden saying move the dude on. People love CP3 now but truth be told his abrasive style turned people off in New Orleans, Clipperland, and Houston. OKC experience created a more centered and better leader in CP3 going forward from there. Harden catches a bad rap on this begging out stuff.

That's assuming that Harden isn't on a downwards slide that continues moving forward. Taking a little less now is locking him in for multiple seasons of that potential slide.
New deal is only 2 years long. This year and player option on the 2nd. There’s very little long term commitment from the Sixers here. And yeah…father time is undefeated and Harden has lost a step. He’s not the same dude that amassed 101 40+ point games (most among active players by a long shot). He doesn’t have to be that 2018 Harden for him to be successful.

For someone who supposedly has never been on this site before you picked a really odd thread to make your first appearance.

That thread in the fouled out section of this site, you quoted a really bizarre comment yet said nothing.
