No argument. Would have to ruin the team to get KD though. Mitchell keep the team intact. Basically swap out Herro, 1-2 role players, and a a few draft picks for Mitchell. Kd will cost much more

I mean based on the ny ask, I’m not sure it’s that much different

It’s Herro, Duncan, jovic and probably some firsts

The question is does Utah want Herro or is re rerouted to get those picks

I do.

We all know this to be true.

But, the guy has been shit on enough publicly.

The agents statement is self serving.

Westbrook is a grown ass man.

So, I'm sure he can take it.

Still, he hasn't committed a crime, he just isn't good at basketball anymore.

I don't see the point of heaping on more public humiliation by saying this shit out loud.

I get your point of view…

I just read that statement with a positive spin for Russ. The agent’s statement reads as though he believes all Russ needs is a year in the right situation and he can restore his value.

I don’t believe that.

But all the negative stuff was factual and needed to establish the agent’s opinion that Russ still has good basketball left in him.

In the words of Jalen, Rose....

Not gone be able to do it!!!!!

No.

Hell no.

Tyler Herro is not far from having no trade value.

Guys like Herro and Barrett who are good, but not max players are really hard to get much for in trade heading into RFA.

Because whoever trades for them is going to have to overpay to keep them next summer.

If they dont trade randle they are a top 5 seed to me probably. That would be one of the better starting lineups in basketball
Dunno, My Guy....

Including Spida for the Knicks, with the teams out East as currently constructed...

They are unquestionably behind Miami, Philly, Boston, Bucks.

If I'm betting money, they are behind Toronto and the Cavs too.

Chicago is a strong possibility as well.

Unless Mitchell, Brunson or Randle suddenly morph into a lockdown defender, I'm seeing a 6 seed team unless one of those other squads have injuries.

Mitchell can't guard everyone especially when he's always gimp.

And now you’re a tax payer without your second best player

What is this teams upside?
Yeah I mean either way they are screwed. I think there are teams better even extending Brunson in Dallas and you are paying an extra $150M. Definitely a risk but it gives them more of a chance. Idk tough situation for Dallas. Gotta bank on that 2nd rounder being a beast lol

the Garland or Herro debate can be put to bed. Its over.
You should check out the Bill Simmons trade value podcast.

I think you'll be happy where some of your guys land.

They are big Mobley fans, as they should be.

He's on crack about a few players.

But, he nails Mobley.

I think he has him in the Hang up immediately if a GM calls tier.

KD makes them the favorite in the East. Mitchell still has them behind Bucks and Celtics for me.
Yeah and in both cases they aren’t giving up Bam. They give up more for KD but they are the favorites, not just in the east. Still think Mitchell is a great fit in Miami even though others think otherwise but how much are you giving up? That’s the issue

They should just cut and get below the tax

Or you eat it once and let your deals expire

Idk. Neither is ideal.

Last year for them was like the hawks before after thybulle cost the sixers the series

Why Mitchell is a bad acquisition:
He’s a one dimensional player right now that averages 26 a game and is only like 25. That guy is going to command a haul on the trade market. Playoff basketball is about two-way players. Mitchell isn’t that guy but you could argue in the right system that he can become that guy. That’s a projection though and an asset you should be able to acquire low based on that. He’s the opposite of that because he’s been an All Star, is still young, and he scores 26 a game. Now add in the Danny Ainge factor wherein he doesn’t do a deal unless he’s convinced he dominated the deal and it’s why I’m projecting Mitchell to the Knicks. At the end of the day, Miami isn’t going to see this as anything other than an overpay. The Knicks are irrelevant in a big basketball community. They need to overpay to signal some give a fuck to their fanbase.

KD stays in Brooklyn
Mitchell goes to the Knicks
Wiggins wasn’t a two-way player before GS. Now I don’t believe DM has that upside defensively but look at what is around him, all great defensive players. Not every player on your team is going to be a great defender but those guys will encourage him to play harder, he has the ability. Jimmy desperately needs a #2 scorer next to him and he is MUCH better scorer than Herro. He is. It’s a good fit

He is a great fit because they can mitigate his lack of defense.

I've been a Spida fan from the start.

But, he is the epitome of a 1-way player, which is why I never understood why he balked at playing with Gobert.

Yin to his yang.

I was going to say Mitchell wins them the East, KD wins them the chip the next few Seasons, if healthy.

I guess I'm higher on Playoff Jimmy than others.
But either one gives them more a chance. Favs with KD no doubt but with Mitchell Jimmy still gets a guy that can get you a bucket. You give up more to get KD but how much more?…that’s the issue

At least in Miami he will be surrounded by defense, defense, defense. I think that is one of the better situations for him. It would be a disaster in New York

I’m not seeing it. What Wiggins has that DM doesn’t is athleticism that made him a number one overall pick and length. DM has neither.

Wrap your mind around paying Mitchell/Brunson/Barrett 90 mil per.

To be a 6-10 seed.

Nah

Yep. Pushing themselves into the dreaded play in mediocrity level. You have to pull a Kawhi or Giannis type draft steal to get out of it.

I mean if dude is thinking he's a max guy then I'm shipping him off for Mitchell. Mitchell is waaaaaaaaay better.

What are you giving up to get DM?

Herro, Robinson and 3 1st’s a couple swaps

What are giving up for KD?

I dont think they have enough but you are probably adding in Lowry and more picks
